This is not correct. You can still use the cutter or the printer if the other were to go down. And also keep in mind that IF either went down, they would be repaired under warranty in usually less than 2 days. I have never (and I am knocking on wood) seen a cutter go down in my 5 years.

While this is correct, printer manufacures work with thier ink suppliers to come up with the best formulation possible to flow with said print heads. There is a ton of R & D going into Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, and HP inks.

Roland usually offers show pricing (meaning they give their dealers an extra discount to pass along to the customer) during the shows they exibit. These are as new units from the factory. Not demo's or refurbs. And personally, I wouldnt say there is anything wrong with purchasing a factory...

Great price - and a great printer. (Show special /Demo pricing??) The VP has the 2 year warranty......and the SP only has one. It would cost you around $2000 to extend the warranty to 2 years on the SP.... So I would say YES - the speed and upgrades are certainly worth the $500 more...

It's true - Roland ink prices were increased last month. It sounds silly - but the increase was based on labor. Many dealers do not order case lots of inks - and Roland was having to pull inks from cases to ship - costing them more time, extra manpower, and more money. Unfortunatly the end...
