I honestly just have a bad taste about flexi and I know Caldera and Onyx are MADE for ripping. I just feel that flexi is so bootleg and unstable. I'm not just having simple flat or inconsistent colors issues - its actually changing from day to day,
I have exhausted the onyx vs caldera discussions and read through everything. I just want to get an opinion on what you guys/girls think is best for ME.
So we use flexi right now (current version) and have been having crazy color issues recently. HP tech has been out 3 x's and we're actually...
So you are dealing with the same problem with 2 different machines? A mimaki (solvent) and an HP latex
Yes but it only happened once with the solvent....it was enough to freak me out and blame flexi
What happens when you print the same file on both machines using the same rip
I wish we had the...
So a couple of things to note...
1 - My mimaki did the 2 different color panel things last week. Which Pointed me also at the RIP.
2 - We have had a tech out here 3 x's in the passed week from HP because of an initial ink level sensor problem. While here he noticed the ink flow pumps we're...
So I've had this 330 for 2+ years and I'm really all thumbs.
I want to put a disclaimer out there and say that we're not the shop that makes custom profiles. In fact, we usually stick to 1 profile for all vinyl, 1 or 2 for textiles and 1 for banner and thats it. We'll do the print tests and...
I'm really sorry but I need to resurrect this thread with 1 question....
If my teflon mat base had heavy scratches and grooves are we doing something wrong?!?
Or is that just what happens when cutting thick material?
All of a sudden yesterday my guys are telling me the machine is tracking to one side. We thought he MUST have just been feeding it in crooked. So i came in today and re fed the machine and got the same results. I was just extra careful and re fed the machine again.....same results...
They do this bc the premask is cheaper than 8518/19/20.
The companies that are supplying these prints are powerhouses and even though the little guy may see close to comparable costs between the laminates and the 3M premask it really adds up when you're talking hundreds of vehicles per month.
We just bought a wall saw (used) and we want to put the best general blace in there possible.
2 Questions....
1: What IS the best blade for all types of substrates?
We mostly cut omega bond and varying thickness of PVC - occasionally Acrylic and Lusterboard
2: Can I get something that will cut...
HP 330 - I'm just curious how many passes you guys are printing for solid colors. I know that the darker, richer colors are hardest like reds and blues.
I just feel like 8 pass was plenty good when we purchased the printer and as time went on we've needed to keep upping the passes. Yes we...
okay -
So to regroup on everything here is what happened.
I called HP and told them what was happening and they sent a tech out. Our firmware was up to date but not really. They had a beta version of a firmware update and they put in into my machine
and BAM! We got red!!
Now if I could only...
I guess my real question is how do I dig into the profiles? How do I make these custom profile? Is this something that I should contact flex he about and see how I can do this through the RIP software? Or is this something that I should be discussing with HP?
