  1. Mini Cooper front window decal

I'm having trouble getting the right dimensions for a window decal for a mini cooper R50 (first generation 2001-2004) I do have the outlines of the car but can't get it right to work out the 2D conversion to the 3D actual car. This window curves in multiple directions grrrr. I don't have the...
  2. Moving my sp300i

Does somebody know a description how to clean the printer to get it ready for transport? I guess I have to do a head wash first and than drain the pipes? I can't find a description on how to do this.
  3. Moving my sp300i

Within 2 months I will be relocating my business and have to move the sp300i. I will have to go down and up a few stairs (narrow) so the machine will not be level and will have to be off the stand. Also is it a 150 miles relocation and it will take about a day or two before I can get it up and...
  4. Questions on working with warm laminator.

Yup, started whiping the prints with gloves just before it hits the laminate and no problems any more. So it indeed is the dry weather and build up static on the material. Thanks!
  5. Questions on working with warm laminator.

So I have to get the contamination part under control. What about the temperature settings. Got in installed by the dealer, worked fine, but I have searched a lot on the forum and google, and can't find anything on temperature settings for my setup. I know it will do nothing for the...
  6. Questions on working with warm laminator.

It got worse lately, indeed since the outside went down. So I guess it is static contamination. Damn.
  7. Questions on working with warm laminator.

It's not waving, it's blistering. Little blisters of approx. 1mm on random parts of the material. If I laminate 1 meter I have for example like 20 little blisters randomly across the print. Never in the same spot, so it's not in the rollers. I print on different kind of media (monomeric and...
  8. Questions on working with warm laminator.

I have a Biedermann E65W warm laminator, capable up heating up to 60 deg. Celcius. Now I'm experiencing some blistering in the lamination. What are the correct settings regarding the temperature and pressure? The pressure is controlled manually by lowering the upper roll. Untill now I have...
  9. Is it ok to put application tape over non laminated designs?

Design is a footprint made up out of 2 parts. Just for promotion use, and won't even be in the walking path. So I will have to applicate to get the parts lined up. Besides that, I don't have cheap laminate in stock.
  10. Is it ok to put application tape over non laminated designs?

Thanks, drying time is no problem. But it is for just one-day usage, so laminating would be overdone.
  11. Is it ok to put application tape over non laminated designs?

Basicly the title says it all. Is it ok to applicate cullcolour printed designs without laminating them? Roland ecosol max inkt, R-tape medium tac paper application. gr. Tim

  13. Versaworks profiles needed

I'm searching for the profiles for my Roland Sp300i & versaworks 4.8: Multi-Fix 6150P Arlon/Calon DPF-4560GTX I can't find the MultiFix profile on their website and the Arlon gives an error message when trying to download. Does anybody have the right profiles for me?
  14. Opos

I've got a D60r with Opos. Software being used is Illustrator with macsign cut to send the files to the cutter. Do I really need to upgrade to macsign lite to use Opos? I won't be using any of the other features, just the Opos. Got a Roland Sp300i but for some laminated prints I thinks the D60...
  15. Installing printed signs that are made of several cutter items

I'm new to the digital printing area and just ordered a versacamm + laminator which will be delivered within two weeks. A customer asked for a small range of stickers that need to be printed but also cut out. So the whole design is made of several separate items. Now i know i can print this on...

  18. Help needed on deciding between dc4sx and sp300i

I know little to non about the printing side of the business right now. Though I learn fast :) The prints were not made by me but by the company selling the machines (a respected company.) The time I was there to gather information about the machines they made some prints for me, but this was...
  19. Help needed on deciding between dc4sx and sp300i

What I'm really interested in is the sharpness of the prints made by the roland for non gradient or fullcolour images. For example two coloured bonnet stripes as seen on the mini coopers. Is the summa superior in this area, of is the Roland 'just as good'? From what i have seen so far the...
