  1. Some things won't combine in Corel

I double click to edit the nodes, then select one node and reverse path in the toolbar. It takes about 3 seconds, but yes, they are combined, they just don't appear to be. I normally see this when importing things from Adobe. The main thing to watch out for (especially when using someone...
  2. Tequila song released Jan 29th 1958 - original

    I thought this was great.
  3. CM3 can't connect to CorelDraw

Well, I gave up with CM3 and installed CM4, but there are still some bugs. Corel seems to be working with CM4 better, but now I am only able to cut one file at a time and it won't read the width of material from the plotter. I'm supposed to have the sales guy that sold me the new machine try...
  4. STREET SIGNS

Alucobond would have worked, but the glue is failing on those. .080 Aluminum for sure for the replacements.
  5. Question Roland XR-640 print quality

My XR doesn't like the cheaper medias. Have you tried the same file on a better media just to rule that out? And I would also try bumping your heat up a touch.
  6. CM3 can't connect to CorelDraw

Hello, I recently ungraded plotters and handed my CE6000 down to one of my employees. I always used CM3 with Corel X6 at my computer, but I can't seem to make it work on her machine with the same programs. When I go to the application launcher from Corel and try to send the file to CM3, it...
  7. Do you think the virus or the vaccine caused this?

As a GM lover, I'm embarrassed for them, and myself. But since I drive old stuff, it's a non-issue to me.
  8. The Vaccine - you going to take it or no?

I'm going to pass on a vaccine for the time being. I kinda view it like the flu shot. I've had the flu twice, and the flu shot twice, same years. Coincidence? I'm not a tin foil hat kinda guy either, I'm just not sure all the hoopla is what it's cracked up to be.
  9. Removable Cast Vinyl?

Gloss and slip resistant usually don't play well together. It generally doesn't matter what sheen the vinyl is as the laminate needed is usually more of a matte finish anyway.
  10. The right media for the job?

I quoted the job based on my normal materials. The purpose of posting this thread was for real life reviews, not trying to pick a material from a book. I thought there may be a better suited vinyl available that may also happen to be cheaper. Saving money was not the driving force of this...
  11. The right media for the job?

Hey Guys/Gals, I am looking for media suggestions for a big job I have coming up. I have a roughly 8'x40' sign that is going to be all digitally printed and I was looking for media recommendations. Normally when printing a flat sign such as this that is outdoors and needs a long life, I grab...
  12. Moze probably already has it..

It does. I have an inverter in my truck so I never worried about getting one, but it sure would be nice to have one with a battery, for when you need 30 secs of heat. I think I will order one.
  13. So...how are your sales ending the year?

It was our busiest year that I can remember, and I can't say that I did much COVID related work either. I started looking at numbers mid Oct. and thought that we would end the year about the same as last year, but, I don't know what I'm looking at and my wife let me know we were up around 15%...
  14. Moze probably already has it..

How long does it last on a 5AH battery? The hand held version. Moze, keep it up and I'm buying stock in DeWalt
  15. Need Help Double sided foam tape with plastic backer?

What I usually find is that the paper tears the most on rolls that have been slit down, which almost all of them have. I had a roll the other day come through the shop with blue plastic and it an Orafol product, but I'm not sure which series it is. Most of the plastic backers are your higher...
  16. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

You are probably going to have to double strike it to really lay down some ink.
  17. Roland 640 Printer questions

I have an XR..,. Skip the white and Metallic option. I know my machine prints slower than dual CMYK, but I do like having lM lC and lK for the quality of certain colors. I have used the white option very little in the past couple of years with poor results.
  18. HEAD STRIKES, HEAD STRIKES, HEAD STRIKES

Cold, cheaper media causes headstrikes here, but as long as they are room temperature, they do fine. How do your rollers look? They aren't backwards either are they? The vacuum is very important, so be sure and clean it all out.
  19. Roland XJ-540 for parts or repair

Hello, I have a Roland XJ 54" printer that has been taking room in my shop. I can get pictures if there is any interest. I bought it as a package deal a little over a year ago and have not had time to mess with it, nor do I have a need for it. The machine is pretty much clogged up. I did a...
  20. Going from X6 to 2018- Cutting Master 4 not recognizing 2018

I have X6 and 2018 as well and if you are bouncing back and forth, cutting master gets unhappy. When I get a message like that, I close Cutting Master and both Corels, and try again with only one of the programs open.
