Thanks. It turns out the commercial version from The Fontry (12 font files) is currently 60% off at MyFonts. Normal price is $25. Sale price is only $10.
I'm stumped trying to figure out the condensed "constructivist" typeface used in the attached photo. Industria and Industria Inline are similar, but have obvious differences. Raleigh Gothic is also similar yet not a match either; and it does not have an inline style. This typeface is something...
Crillee Extra Bold is definitely the source. The lettering was artificially stretched like hell. And it sort of looks like the lettering had gone through a bad stage of auto-tracing.
Various cities, towns and suburbs usually only allow commercial signs to be installed in areas zoned for commercial or industrial use. There can be exceptions in residential areas, such as temporary signs like real estate yard signs, political signs. Off-premise signage is a tricky area. Most...
Yeah, the rat and bugs in the wrap design are specific images, not pieces of vector clip art. Obviously it would be a serious challenge to track down the exact same images used in the existing wrap designs. There are different methods how to convert color images to look black and white while...
Many of the colors in the RGB color space fall outside the gamut limits of CMYK. Even if a large format printer has extra ink cartridges, such as light cyan and light magenta, it will not hit every RGB color. When I design graphics in RGB I usually try to keep them within CMYK gamut limits...
I'm praying whoever made that sign request for Eglin AFB isn't involved with any aircraft operations. Obviously they do not know how to math.
It's far more common for civilians to demonstrate their lack of geometry skills or awareness of concepts like aspect ratio when dictating specific fonts...
Normally we would be open on Friday because "Black Friday" can be pretty busy with service calls and other stuff. But so many people have requested Friday off to be able to travel out of town Thursday-Sunday or host relatives who are in town visiting. Not enough people are going to be available...
$24 isn't a bad price for that typeface. It has some useful goodies included. The Royal Signage typeface reminds me of Desire Pro:
https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/desire-pro
Desire Pro is beautiful and has a lot of alternate swash glyphs, but the details can get really thin and work against...
I'm guessing the typeface used in the attached (and cropped) sample image could be on a free fonts site. MyFonts' What the Font didn't come up with any matches. Didn't see anything at Google Fonts or DaFont that matched either.
I suppose it's a nice option to have cut-copy-paste options in a right-click fly-out menu I'm just a lot faster clicking the various keyboard shortcuts with my left hand (Paste in Place and Paste on All Artboards is a little tricky doing with one hand).
One area where I'm definitely a lot...
Adobe Illustrator has long had the usual keyboard shortcuts for cutting, copying and pasting content via the clipboard. Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V work just fine in Illustrator. Unlike CorelDRAW the Ctrl+V command will paste the content in the center of the current view of the artboard which is...
Weird? How? Exactly why would it be weird for someone to want to avoid knocking up their girlfriend unintentionally? If anything it seems like younger people these days are getting a little bit more responsible. Unintended pregnancies cost a stupid fortune, even if the parents get some...
This is where we insert every phony baloney "enhance that image" command from a CSI: Miami episode or dozens of other TV shows and movies.
My favorite Hollywood BS moment on enhancing images: the 1998 movie Enemy of the State with Will Smith. There's one scene where these government guys hack...
Loretta Lynn and her story might deserve some credit for the choices young adults are making today. They've seen their parents struggle in person and saw the lesson being played out in real time. They're not looking to repeat the same mistakes and have to live through the same hardships.
I...
I think Facebook is already wise to this. I admin my company's Facebook page as well as a couple civic club pages. I've been receiving messages from FB about them rolling out a "new feature" to reduce spam to FB page accounts.
Well that explains why What the Font turned up no results. I scanned through all of the stencil fonts at DaFont too. Didn't figure it being available at Google Fonts's site.
