Yes, I've done this before in special situations where a graphic tripped the sensor...I think this is more an issue of getting the media set (and held set) properly.
For some reason I'm unable to set the media properly on my new VJ 1624. (guessing this is the problem)
After 10' to 25' of printing the "End of Roll" sensor shuts down my print job. The vinyl seems to be feeding unevenly and is buckeling up on one side or the other (infeed side) and triping...
Mine just stopped a print on my 1624...Probably a good thing... The infeed material was buckeling up on the right (capping station side) of the printer. I'm assuming the sensor is located in that area as well thus the problem... I'm glad it happend near the end of the 30' print. Just white...
Before we received our take up roller, we would vac the floor in front of the printer and then place a piece of scrap card stock on the floor. Then roll the print up on a tube on the floor. Now I just pause the print and connect the graphic to the take up roller when it gets to that level.
I just spoke with Tech Support at Sign Warehouse...Apparently they (Mutoh) don't have these print modes available yet. Funny. Why produce reference charts for modes that don't exhist? Very confusing...:-(
There are Print Modes listed in Mutoh's "Print Mode Quick Reference" chart that are not available on my printer or in Flexi 10.
All software (flexi) and firmware was updated last week when the printer was installed yet I'm not seeing an option for Fine&Fuzz6...In fact I'm not seeing any...
Well I upgraded to a ValueJet 1624 from a 1204 so I no longer need these. I'm asking $45 each but will consider less if you take the whole bunch (11 carts.) All are unopened - purchased from Fellers.
See my signs 101 classifed here...
I used to do the same thing with my vinyl- Now I pull out the tube, stand the vinyl on end, and run my finger around the inside of the roll to loosen the roll to create a small amount of space between the vinyl layers for better drying... I'm sure the method you use depends upon the stiffness of...
I tried the spray on laminate once (office window graphic). Perhaps I did something wrong but the spray tended to span accross the perforations. I had to go back with a brush and compressed air after the installation to clear all the holes (very time consuming). Perhaps someone here has a...
I also used my Enduralam to slit 54" material down to 49". lol Worked great but I'm sure it added some wear to the motor. I'll continue to use it for laminating window perf even after the new 65" is delivered.
My only complaint is the lack of really good documentation or videos for setting...
Wow. That's interesting. I've had good luck with it and it removes well too, even after 2-3 years. That's almost as important as how it goes on in my business (bus advertising / bus wraps).
I typically laminate it with a Lamex optically clear lam.
LOL Thousands of feet used and no problems. Dozens of 30' full bus wraps. Great results for us. Use what you want. I use a lot of oracal products as well. Just depends what I'm working on...
