Hi, I use a lot of 3M 8518 gloss and Lamex 2mil cast gloss over my 3m180C v-3. They look great and work well together. Don't let the manufactures con you into believing you can ONLY use their products together. Cast is cast in this case.
When we wrap buses we use a long horizontal seam aligned with the windows. When the windows are replaced with perforated vinyl...poof. Seams are mostly gone.
By the time I jump in?? What I meant is today I put in an order for a new Mutoh 1624 as opposed to the HP. Funny though how so many picked up a new (end of run) HP L 25500 in the $13K range and the next model clicks $26K! And it prints the same speed as the 25500?!
I would have been...
I have the Endurlam 52" and find that backing paper is very necessary. Any missalignment and you'll be sticking to the roller or other parts of the laminator.
I would recommend not using laminate that is that much larger than your print. If for no other reason than handling issues after the...
Thanks FatCat. That's the way I'm leaning... Never thought I go with a single head when I have the chance to pick up a brand new dual head at the same price but there is definately a difference in the technology. Also 2 year standard warranty compared to 1 year with the 1618. I'm also...
Mutoh 1618 Dual Head V New 1624?! What say you?
If you had to choose between the newer single head 1624 (newer epson head, 3 year waranty, etc.
and the older DUAL head 1618a (older heads but faster overall speed)....
WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE???
Hi everyone.
Just wondering if any of you would be willing to post (or PM) what you paid for a new Mutoh 1624? I'm currently pricing Sign Warehouse and Fellers.
I'll be purchasing one soon and would like to get some real world pricing information.
Thanks.
Kirk
I've had a few minor problems with our enduralam but It's been running great for over 5 years (knock on wood). Saved over $10K not buying a Seal. I just cold lam though...No heat required.
Okay, normally I use cast laminate over cast vinyl and calendered laminate over calendered vinyl...but here's my situation. I just ran out of calendared laminate. I'm laminating 11" x 28" interior bus ad cards then mounting to a cardstock backing.
Laminate = 2mil cast (lamex)
Vinyl = Orajet...
Thanks everyone. We're working on a new one for the same customer that will make the bus look like a flatbed wrecker. If all goes well the driver of the bus should look like she's driving the wrecker lol. (It's going on the Mt. Pleasant Transit by the way James)
Designed and installed this ad for Jim's Body Shop. Designed in CorelDraw X5. Printed on Mutoh ValueJet.
Always nice to do something a little different.
Wish I would have slanted the old truck to show the weight of the bear....Oh well. lol
Hi. Just wondering if you ever got your streaking problem figured out with the 1304. I have a 1204 and I'm having the same problem.
Oh, and you didn't answer the question about the streaks being more noticeable closer to the head starting position.
Hope you had good luck and I hope to hear...
I noticed he mentioned that most techs just run a couple cleaning cycles to fill the damper. He used a syringe to save wear on the pump.
I don't think there would be much wear on the pumps just to run a couple cleaning cycles. I'd rather do that then risk damaging the bottom of the new...
