You can always create a swatch of the color that you want to save. I'm not sure if that is exactly what your talking about when you mean a 'custom fil' When you have the color that you want to use, you can save it as a swatch by going into the swatches panel>new swatch and then make it whatever...

Thanks, They are actually there, Just have them off for the time being. When designing I find those holes are very annoying and I add them back onto the graphic layer before printing. Sucks when I forget though
