We are having an odd issue on one of our JV3s. The magenta head loses about 1/2 of one side of the head in semi consistent areas after a few feet of printing. I keep thinking that an air leak would do this but I just can't find it. So far I have replaced capping station, pump, damps, orings...
I havent seen this issue either on ours. Sounds like you need to call HP and get a tech out to look at it.
We are cleaning the bottom of our heads once a week or so also.
We just passed the 1 year mark on our machine. Overall very happy with the machine. However, like forge ours is...
If you aren't going to use a JV5 every day then you probably don't need one. That is overkill. A JV5 can roughly outprint 2-3 JV33s at the same quality. We had one for a few years, it was a love hate relationship. The HS ink has a horribly strong smell. Fast printing means the ink doesn't...
There is water physically visible on the connections on the back of the print heads. It is causing error code 2 which relates to the electrical connection. We've had one replacement head. HP has told me because of the wiring design if any of the heads are shorted it will likely falsely point...
Anyone had issues with this machine condensing water on the print head connections? We have been battling the replace printhead error message for L-LC head for a while now and have figured out that condensation on random heads causes this error.
Anyone seen this? What are you doing to help...
Pop some wheels in and start playing around. It should take about 10 minutes to figure out what works best. Once we have ours dialed in we pretty much don't have to change it. Working the crease wheel is one of the easier tools to deal with.
The DNS provisions in SOPA were insane. Both bills reach way over the line of internet freedom, free speech, and the traditional legal process.
Wednesday a lot more people are going to know about this, Wikipedia is going to have a 24 hour black out to spread awareness! Reddit is also...
Just curious if anyone knows if you can use the L25500 latex printer with printable tshirt film like Siser Colorprint? If yes, is anyone doing with luck?
Ok, this may be a silly question, but how do you pause this machine during print? Or is that even possible? I've searched the manual and the forum with no luck :help
Don't be shocked when you see what the vacuum actually is. It is a small shopvac brand vac like you can buy in the hardware store. We had one go bad also. Not so dramatic, but it just stopped working.
The FB is designed to keep substrate moving through the machine, if you haven't seen a demo of how it loads you should, it is really slick. Just the savings in loading time alone has been a big benefit for us. The way the belt is designed really makes it hard to justify a true flatbed for most...
We run them till you visually see the ink is near end. 95% of the time this works fine the profiler chips will let you do it. Sometimes it won't and will force you to change it out and waste some ink.
We went through two pretty quickly a few months ago. I think a batch of ink had something to do with it though. The last one to come out had some build up on it and created a coating on the little glass bulb on the sensor. Frustrating though, I'd be interested to hear what the issue was.
We have a L25500 on the way, ordered the day before the promo ended. According to our supplier like cdiesel said, the L25500 is no longer available for purchase. HP sold them all with the last big promo and in fact some people that ordered late won't be getting them.
We've been running our 500 since Feb very hard and overall are pretty happy with it. One issue that has really stood out and could in fact be ForgeInc's Issue, it has to do with the ink system. There is a thermistor that sits in the ink reservior in the carriage, one for each head. We have...
Those of us that have been on here a while, how does the activity on the classifieds compare now to how they did when they were in the old forum style? Seems like I remember the classifieds being pretty active back in the day. Now I rarely browse them. An active classified section can be a...
We fought this a lot when we had our m4f. The Agfa ink is bad about reacting to surface contaminates and shows it. Our fb500 is nowhere near as picky as the agfa was. Things that helped for us, 95% alcohol, lint free cloth. Ideally buy your material by the skid and only wipe with lint free...
