It's not that the print will fail, but it will be much harder to fit and also harder to remove. Also if you trim the print when it's still full of solvent it will wrinkle and shrink back.
Do these GS3 inks still require full outgassing time as per older solvent inks? We're looking at a new machine but we often do full bus wraps and the drying time of solvent is an issue when you have circa 100m of print
The lack of outgassing is a big selling point and it's a dilemma I share whether to change from the reliabiilty and simple operation on the Mimaki to move to the HP lates machines...
We have been getting this issue since having a head replaced earlier in the year, the engineers haven't been able to sort it so anyone have any ideas?
I think it is related to static as I have seen some static charged ink build up on plastic parts near the head and also the encoder strip has...
We've used it on a number of jobs now, had no issues or failures. One customer wanted to change something on a vehicle after a couple of weeks so we had to remove a panel. It peels off like a removeable vinyl using no heat. So it's kind of worrying how easy it goes on and comes off but, like I...
Our JV33 has been a great printer but we're looking at what to replace it with. We do quite a lot of wraps so I'm leaning towards a latex. The HP's are seemingly very popular but for everyone who says they're great, someone else will say the opposite. Anyone got any views?
Horizontal panels mean you only have one join and its low down so not very visible. Even less so if they have the plastic moulding on so you can hide it there.
DiNoc is great for roofs and bonnets, it's thick and the weave doesn't distort like the Hexis. But we found it has problems with more challenging exterior parts and would lift back.
On a Smart Car the side is one big panel that wrpas around the front and back.
It's going to be tricky to make it continuous, particularly with the amount of stretching around the front/back. But if you are just doing clouds you can probably design it so that you don't have to have any clouds...
I could do with a new PC as I want something a bit quicker but I also want 8gb+ of RAM to help with doing large print files For this I would NEED the 64bit version of Windows but I'm worried about compatabiliy with other hardware. I'm using Flexi 8.1 which apparently works ok with Win 7. I...
