  3. I need longer lasting prints! I have the eco sol blues.

I agree laminate the prints. We go over with all of our customer the pros of laminating versus the cons of cost. We charge more for the laminate and make it worth our time to do. By informing the customers, we help them get a better product than alot of my competitors offer. We have found...
  4. Buying a Cutter !

Like everyone says if you can afford it a 54" is better. That being said....It is all about the size and types of job you will be doing that really should determine your size. We have two different 54" graphtecs now and they are decent machines. One is a little higher end than the other. We...
  5. printing Flexi color charts

Like Snydo says in most versions of flexi there is a create swatch tab under view that lets you create duotone, cmyk and current palette. If you can't figure it out let me know what type of swatch table you want and what size and I can create one and email it to you.
  6. Help with Uni-Directional printing

Here is a pdf file of the window where you can change the print settings for onyx rip. Look here to check out what VanderJ was saying. We use flexi and sometimes it will glitch and revert a setting back to a default. Not sure if onyx has that problem or not but check here to see. Hope it helps.
  7. Help with Uni-Directional printing

VanderJ is probably right. What RIP are you using?
  8. Has anyone had this problem with their Summa cutter? (or it's native software)

threeputt We used to have some summa d series machines 750 pro if I remember correctly. Ours had the ability to raise the laser eye up out of the way when not in use by turning a little silver knob. It didn't move much so it wasn't always noticeable. But it made it not work. Everytime ours...
  9. JV3-160 SP Error 46 Wiper

MikePro, that is why I figured I would start asking you guys. I have tried just about everything I can think of and it is leading me more and more to think it is a short of some sort or another. I have replaced just about every part you can on various machines over the years and it just makes...
  10. JV3-160 SP Error 46 Wiper

Checked that as well already. It is almost as if the machine is telling itself to retract the wiper at the start of cleaning instead of undocking it. Makes me think that it is a problem with the step motor or the switch. I know that this is the second switch that it has happened on. I can't...
  11. JV3-160 SP Error 46 Wiper

MikePro that is why I replaced the assembly in the first place is because even though the switch appeared to be working I wanted to try out another one.
  12. JV3-160 SP Error 46 Wiper

Yes, I did de-inkfy the switch. That was part of cleaning the assembly. I have verified that the switch is working both mechanically and electronically. And if you move the wiper out during the sensor test it will show that the switch has changed. The test allows you to lift and lower media...
  13. JV3-160 SP Error 46 Wiper

First off thank you to anyone who helps. 6 months ago or so we started getting this error occasionally. I cleaned the rails and gears multiple times (trust me they were already way cleaner than some of the old pictures I have seen) as that is what all of the other threads say is the cause. It...
