I apologize if the question was not specific enough for you to formulate an answer correctly. The main issue in the beginning of this was the client absolutely did not want us drilling/screwing into the structure. He also did not want to see metal fasteners of any kind. This lead me to post the...
The client does not want to see any screws/fasteners at all, and at first would not allow us to drill into the wall for placing the base. We got approved to drill/screw into the wall to mount the bases, but will still have to adhere the dibond signs with a liquid adhesive.
We are at the point with customer we may tell them to install themselves. Great advice on the safety aspect, that wasn't considered on our end. Customer asked if we could install a smaller piece with tapcons, then apply the sign with an epoxy to the smaller piece. But I think the same safety...
I have a client that says absolutely no to drilling or screwing into their exterior parking garage wall. We have a 12"Hx60"W direct print dibond sign that needs to be adhered above a 15' entrance. Is there anything besides liquid nails???
I agree. Thinking since we laminate with heat as opposed to cold, that the heat may be getting the surface of the dibond so hot the UV cured ink loses it's grip!
No, I believe they were laminated within an hour of being printed. Good point. Even though they are a direct print an UV cured, they may need to stand for 24 hours???
I've run into an issue. We have printed direct on dibond using an Arizona 250, then laminated with a 3 mil gloss laminate. Now the laminate is peeling away and taking the ink right off the dibond. Has anyone had this issue? Or have experience with laminating direct print?
Greetings all! Just signed up in hopes of sharing, and obtaining, great information about our industry! Mainly working with an HP5500 and Arizona GT250 in conjunction with a CNC Router for sign production.
