The calculator offered by ShoreSigns (see post above) seems to work well and accurate enough. Keeping track of the amount used from a new roll is a little impractical unless I was the only one using it and never skip that step even when in a rush.
That is a very good question. As with any software on your computer, it is very hard to know what is going on in the background, so I can't promise you anything on that topic. However, I would bet most people on this site have accepted the terms and conditions of their software without reading...

Does anyone know a reliable way to estimate how much vinyl is left on a roll once it is loaded up on the printer or laminator? You know when you have a long print to run and the roll looks ify.

Thanks very much for your reply. Unfortunately that doesn't solve my problem, because some colors are printing well and reds are not. I am hoping to make an adjustment to the settings so that the colors print correctly. Is there any hope for that?
I am working on a Mutoh Blizzard 65 with Flexi 12. I am not getting a good reds. The all come out orange. Flexi support did all they could but the reds are still orange. I get good nozzle checks, and the individual colors (CMYK) print fine. The greens, blues blacks and yellows are real...
