The City requires that cross street banners need to be one 10 oz mesh banner hemmed and grommets printed both sides. Not two banners sewed together. Does anyone out there make that? I can find 12 oz. but not 10 oz.
Gino,
That is an interesting perspective. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have no fear of sarcasm. I can dish it out better than most, but I reserve it for situations that I see as appropriate and I am sure the receiver will understand and appreciate it. I guess that is just me. I have been...
I have never used a print and cut machine. I have always had two sepreate machines for that. Not by my choice. That's just the cards I was delt. What is the advantage of the one unit doing both jobs? I assume, after printing you need to remove it to laminate it and then put it back in the...
Gino,
I am assuming this is intended to be sarcasim. Am I correct? As much as I have been able to glean valuable information off of this site, it is filled with sarcastic and often rude comments that lack real value to anyone beyond odd entertainment value. If your comments are sincere can you...
If you have gotten only one small job, it may be a bit premature to buy a printer. Paying cash for a printer in the first two weeks of being in business, as stated by others here, is just not a realistic expectation. Sucess in any business takes ...
time. You need to build a customer base...
I tried that. It works well on the smaller stuff. I never have problems with smaller applications, so I am trying anything. The home brew works as well as the Rapid Tac in all applications. Sometimes better. I just think there is a detail I am skipping in the process.
I get a lot of opinions on what the "correct " application method is. On large sign faces I have been applying 3M™ Scotchcal Translucent Graphic Film Series 3630 in poly-carbonate faces. I am using the home brew fluid of windshield washer fluid and baby shampoo. Tried using laminator and...
I have a Summa 140 S2 T and I am trying to do large pen plot and the tracking runs off. The middle two rollers are not down. Should they be, and if so how? Nothing in the manual that I could find.
CamTX-
Thanks so much! we had the same problem. As soon as I read your post I realized that was all I needed to do. so far it's working great.
Can't Thank you enough.

I'm making some .063 aluminum break form pan signs and direct printing to the aluminum before bending the edges. My problem is the print cracks when I bend the aluminum making a lighter edge at the bend. I am printing on a Vutek QS3200 UV printer. I know it can be done because I have seen it...
Buy one of their banners. Send them a colorful file and see how they do. Size it 3x6 and it will cost you $18.00. If the banner is crap you can show it to your customers. If it is acceptable quality then offer each customer a free banner with every order over a certain price. Everyone who...
Thanks everyone for your comments. It seems I could have saved a little time by going to the Signfoan website. There is a good data sheet on how to get a gloss finish with whatever paint you prefer.

Melissa,
Handpainted signs are a typically high quality, one of a kind creation and are purchased from highly skilled sign makers. They will have a certain handcrafted look that is hard to explain or duplicate by machine. You need to look at a few and compare them to really understand. The...
I am not sure what it is worth, but there is a really good chance I was the last guy to use it. I worked for a small sign shop in Morrisville VT hand painting signs and we used that unit a lot. Let me know what your plans are.
