  1. Adobe Illustrator-need a cut contour

Since ColorRIP is essentially the same as Wasatch SoftRIP, see if this work for you. http://www.wasatch.com/pdf/illustratorVectorCutPath.pdf
  2. Comparisons of Vehicle Outline Collections

I just got this package from JSI sign systems as they sent me an email a while back with a great deal on this...$149! So, I just bought it last week and was in need of one template prior to getting the DVDs. After a bit of emails, I was given my one template and online access. Although it...
  3. FREE TrueSpace 7.6 3D software!

I stumbled on this. Have not tried it yet, but it appears to be VERY capable! I don't know if there is a catch but I just registered and successfully downloaded the software...unless it's just a massive Malware program! TrueSpace 3D software
  4. Help, with Print Speed!

I use Wasatch SoftRip and have created a very passable 450x360x4-pass banner profile that would output at approx. 160 SFPH (head speed of 1000, whatever that means). The one problem I've found with it is good reds are hard to come by as the saturation just isn't there, but other colors are...
  5. How to make a majillion $

But it says 3M on it....it MUST be worth it, right!? Yeah seems like a ripoff to me too.
  6. Dust Covers

I am really surprised that the mfgs don't send one along...seems kinda dumb to me that they don't...and that there doesn't seem to be anyone making them but I see a lot of people asking for them. SNAP, maybe someone needs to venture into this!
  7. X3 export preference

300 ppi at size for almost ANY sign is generally considered overkill.
  8. X3 export preference

We just did to mall barricades and exported them as full-size PDFs @ 150 ppi.
  9. Roland offering 100% financing and 5.9% lease

Yeah I just got the email too. Did you also see they are offering a 3-yr warranty on the XC-540 and XJ-series printers? This is a great deal for anyone looking to get a new machine. Damn, I'm half tempted myself!
  10. Anyone print to a Versacamm directly from Corel?

Yeah, I know...maybe a bit over the top....I think I'll save this for when we get another Sign & Frame :-p Sorry if I went off a bit.
  11. Anyone print to a Versacamm directly from Corel?

Geez, are you freakin' kidding me? It blows me away how people can throw down thou$and$ on equipment that they have no idea how to use, then come onto places like this....hoping to get quick answers...while doing no research on their own. I get sick to death of seeing the same old crap over...
  12. Dead PC...any ideas?

Yes it does and yes both are plugged in. The main one is the large one and then there is a 4-prong connector. I got bit by this on another PC which was the first one I had built using both the power connectors. I guess all the newer ones have this now. Like I said before, this thing had been...
  13. Dead PC...any ideas?

Just removed the RAM and reseated, also tried in the other two of the four available slots. The RAM is in pairs, have tried with just one too, just to see. I got zero POST beeps under any circumstances thus far...which is frustrating. I figured I should get some but none so far.
  14. Dead PC...any ideas?

The MOBO has a LED near the bottom RH corner (as you are looking at it in the case) but none near the video card. The vid card does not have a separate plug, it is in a PCI Express slot. The LED is on and green. The case in an Antec Sonata III with a 500 watt PS. The case has a small...
  15. Dead PC...any ideas?

No overclocking involved...this was just a good quality design/RIP station that one day crapped out. I built it with good stuff so I wouldn't be doing this. Asus put in a whole new CPU mount when I sent it in. It literally just up and quit working one day after power down...nothing more...
  16. Dead PC...any ideas?

Like I said, I have had the MOBO tested by Asus. I've pretty much done all tests that have been suggested...disconnect everything, power up, then start adding things and re-power up....all to no avail. Video is separate card (PCI-X) and MOBO has no built-in video (Asus P5B). Problem is this...
  17. Dead PC...any ideas?

Recently built a PC using all good components from Newegg (Antec case & PS, ASUS mobo, Intel Quad core processor, etc.). For no apparent reason, it just crapped out one day. I used it one night, shut it down, then it simply wouldn't boot at all...no POST beeps, nothing. However, it does POWER...
  18. Fountain Fills Washed Out when printed

FYI, I use "Adobe 1998" as my ICC profile in Corel. BTW, what are your Color Management settings in Corel? I have noticed that a lot of people just use the default, and changing these around usually makes a significant difference.
  19. Horizontal lines showing up on vinyl

It's a crap shoot on "stock" profiles. Everyone should really be creating their own. Check your media feed rate and bi-directional adjustments (all available form the main menu, and check your manual for specifics).
  20. Fountain Fills Washed Out when printed

It's all wrapped in your Color Management...the media profile your using...which includes the rendering intents and amount of ink to be layed down, along with color correction, etc. Without knowing how all of those are set up, it's hard to make recommendations.
