  1. Air Bubble Removal on Lam

Even after using a needle and a squeege and even running it through the laminator again have I ever fully removed the remence of air bubbles in lamintate. My guess is because the laminate stretches ever so slightly when the air is trapped and it doesn't shrink back to shape as well as vinyl...
  2. Replaced the dampers now what? (No Cyan)

Well if the capping station is fine, you should still be able to pull ink from the line below the capping station, but before the pumping unit, until ink starts to fill the syringe. This will pull ink through the lines above the dampers, fill the dampers and fill the head into the capping...
  3. Partnership Taxes

:goodpost: Absolutely - Even if you trust your friend with your life. I would make sure you have an air tight contract or agreement that states who does what, who gets what, and in the event of dissolvement of said partnership - it should state who gets what. Even the best of friends can be...
  4. Antique sign reproductions

This is like people going out and buying jeans and hats that are already beat the hell up - rips, tears, and bleach stains on them to make them look worn in. Yet they just paid $60 for a pair of pants that will certainly deteriate faster then a new pair of pants without holes in them. Sure...

Been there - done that. Makes you feel kinda foolish though. Oh well at least you figured it out.
  6. Replaced the dampers now what? (No Cyan)

I found that trying to pull ink, with a syringe, directly from the damper is too risky. I've ruined many a damper trying that. I have found great success in doing a suction from the lines below the capping station. Another way to tell if you need a new capping station is to do the suction...

  8. Replaced the dampers now what? (No Cyan)

:goodpost: This is what I was going to suggest. Pull ink from the line below the carriage rest but before the lines get through the pumps. Use a syringe, don't pull to terribley hard but give it time after you pull to allow for the vaccum to even out.

  10. need advice for wrapping a tanker trailer

With a rounded surface like a tanker I think you'll fine that one long 54" 4' panel will create a nightmare when you start moving along. Depending on your skill/abilities/experience with something like this. It might be smarter to go with vertical panels along the length. In the end, its...
  11. heads firing to soon and too late?

Try and get an actual high res pic to show us exactly what is happening. That would help alot. Slant adjust does affect only one head at a time since it is an idividaul/non computerized adjustment. Although, unless you recently had a major head crash or switchout the print head I can't...

  13. Mini Cooper Wrap.

Most times this is true. You want a wrap to be able to get the point across while in transit so that the people around you driving are able to get the info quickly and remember it. However for this type of wrap its more about a stationary display. This will be outside bars, liqour stores...
