Back in the 90's there used to be a Friday night/Saturday flea market in downtown Dallas. Guys would set up Friday at midnight, and the the "retail crowd" would show up during the day. You used to be able to make some money buying bargains at midnight and then selling them yourself Saturday...
Your only defense against this is your sales techiques.
You show them your portfolio of previous work to get them to believe that you have the capability to complete their job to their satisfaction...
You explain what you charge for a couple different sizes, and what you charge for...
I just refuse work when the custy's art of logo seems to be infringing.
The exception for me is usually local pee wee & little leagie teams using some variation of a pro name/logo.

Last night I almost offered the chinese food delivery guy $50 to come back after work and help for a couple hours! It sounded too much like the beginning of one of those penthouse letters so I didn't.
On the way to make the delivery... leaving at 10:19, it is 45 mins away.
No problem... 5 mins to spare!

3:11am,
All done for tonight! Everything we have to deliver tomrrow is done. Just gotta box it all up and get everything organized to deliver. Then there is a bunch of big 4 column trophies and plaques, but those are not needed until Saturday. The pressure is off!

Got this job 11 hrs ago. It is 3/4 done. Getting tired, but we will do another hour or so than nap for a few hours & get up in the early am. We will have 4-5 hrs in the am to do.
no.. I know from talking to the purchasing folks that he submitted the PO Request about 3 weeks ago and it was approved 2 weeks ago. He just thought they also sent it to me. I thought I lost the bid when I didn't hear.
I should have followed up.
anyway.... we are about half way done.
Here in AZ the velcro would need to be sewn in... the adhesive will melt and fall right off. A couple mechanical fasteners (even zip ties through grommet holes) will be good added insurance. If it falls off the banner and causes an accident you will get sued.
