  1. Where to learn?

    Hi Everyone! Looing for some info on lighted signs... What is the best, yet quick way to learn about lighted signage? What substrate(s) to use where and when, terms of industry words, etc. Thank you for your help! Marsha

    We have a 17 1/2 yr old, 6 yr old, and a 15 month old... They make (the 17 yr old will do most of the work) signs and banners for family events/partys, birthday cards out of coro and scrap vinyl, posters, folder wraps, shirts, they use scrap as a lint roller, magnets, etc. Marsha
  3. Cut is off

    Some times the heat settings can afect the cut on the roland. Do you have a standalone cutter you could cut them on? Ours we can do about 10 feet or so perfect and then it will start being off. But when we use our fc8000 they are dead on no matter how long the run is. Marsha

    We use rolands, so its probly no help...but. We can put the files we want to send onto a SD card and plug them into the roland and run them from the SD card...no PC needed. We have used that in a jam to get things done. I dont know if your engraver has a SD slot to do this though. Just a...

    If you drill the right size hole you should be able to put a raster braill bead in the hole. You would just need to make a template of the hole locations. But as others have said, the sign shouldnt go on the door unless you have no other place to put it. Marsha

    We had this happen to us, not on a wrap though. Never could get an answer, we ended up just recreating the art and that solved the issue. I know that isnt something you can do for this. But I am wondering what it is! Hopefully someone has an answer. Marsha

  18. New to the ROland VS-540

    Just go into versaworks settings and change it from "print only" to "cut only" and leave everything else the same (you could turn off your heaters also if you want) then with the media relaoded hit "print" again. The printer will scan for the marks and if laoded right will start cutting it...
  19. Perf printed on adhesive side

    I thought someone on here said to.. Print on perf that has no adhesive and then you use a spray adhesive to mount it...so you dont have adhesive where the holes are. Marsha
