  1. What happens to all the repossessed printing equipment?

Earlier this year I was able to secure a FANTASTIC deal on an almost new MimakiJV33, A MimakiCG160fx cutter and a Royal Sovereign 1650H/HR. Having access to good people deep inside leasing company's is the key to getting great deals. These contacts are nurtured and well kept secrets. My contact...

  3. Mimaki Jv33 Ink problem is it the pump?

From what I know about the JV33 it has only one pump. I would look at the condition of the docking station. If you have a high power magnifier, look closely at the area where the head docks. Check for cracks or breaks in the rubber seal around the edge. Also look closely at the foam media in the...

  5. JV5 cross contamination

Unless I am totaly mistaken the ink lines from the cartridges to the print heads are totally separate. Therefore, any contamination is happening on the print side of the head. This can be caused be many things. Have the heat, humidity changed inside your print area recently? Controling static...

    Try This!
  7. banding on gradient prints

My first place to look would be the dampers. Sounds like ink starvation. How long has been since you did replacement on the dampers? Have you done a test print to check the nozzle pattern? Any blocked nozzels will wreak havoc on a tint or screened image.
  8. Four police killed

AND: Two judges in the recent weeks signed release orders to allow this PofS to be out on the street AGAIN. he was being held on RAPE charges, for allegedly {I hate that term} raping a 12 year old girl within the last several months. With his history, who in their right mind would put this sub...
  9. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

If you are unfamiliar with what "opening/closing" ink valves means, you may be going beyond what is safe for you to try to do without either a technicians assistance, or at least the proper documentation to lead you through each step. A thorough search on the net can give you a few pointers...
  10. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

Did you open the valves to the ink cartridges, BEFORE trying to pull from below the docking station? You might end up blowing out your new print head if you continue to try to pull ink without the valves being open. Try a test print, then a STRONG cleaning then get into the head alignment...
  11. Help! For 2 months we can not understand what was going on!

My first thought would be to check for leaking "O" rings, or a loose connection in the ink supply lines. ANY AIR BUBBLES in the ink supply lines indicate that you do NOT have a good seal between the cartridges and the print heads.Check and gently tighten ALL the connections between the ink...
  12. How to clean up clip art for cutting?

It would be clearer, and somewhat funnier, if you knew how to spell the term, Mosh!
  13. Pricing dilema

This is the type of observable brilliance that far too many of the people in the sign business fail to recognize. As a direct result we continue to watch, as our profit margins are eroded. Why are they being eroded? Because so many people in this industry, and many others, fail to take into...
  14. both black cartridges at 10% or less yet no warning

It doesn't "seem" correct. How does your printer warn you? Mine has the red light on the cartridge position, as well as the report available in Rasterlnk that I check on with each job.
  15. Antique Store Font?

As a side note: nobody has mentioned here yet the 3 tier pricing structure that should be a staple selling tool used when confronted by the "cheap" customer {or stupid boss who doesn't have a clue how to extract additional revenue from the customer/friend}.
  16. As you prepare for Thanksgiving Please Don't Forget!

Please pause today, {every day} and give Thanks. Regardless of where you live, there are those who serve that we may celebrate. http://www.cpmsglife2.org/MSG/Pres/td/td1.html :wavingflag: :Canada: :Australia:thumb: THANK YOU!
  17. Antique Store Font?

Though none of your presentation are awe inspiring I might suggest you work from either #1 or #4. They show some readability.
  18. Odd Ink Problem...

  19. Odd Ink Problem...

Just realized something!! Have you tried going into the service mode and opening the valves on the ink carts? that relieves some of the back pressure on the ink lines and will allow you to pull ink from the carts into the lines. send me a PM if you want to discuss other options I could talk...
  20. Odd Ink Problem...

It sounds like there is or could be a "bubble of air" in the feed lines. If you can locate your syringe, remove the ink line from the top of the damper {one at a time}. and draw ink down to the end of the line nearest to the damper. Then clamp the line, and re attach it to the damper. I have...
