  1. Best black setting

What ink do you use? With J-Tek ink, there are about 3 different black inks available...
  2. Will my new printer, software, and cutter communicate?

A actual Flex will also work with almost every printer and cutter on the market.
  3. Mimaki CG-130 SRIII Plotter Plotter Cutting Problem

If it's the timing belt jumping, I was able to reproduce it by cutting diagonal rectangles. This problem happened to me only once. Most of the time, it's the blade holder or blade... especially if you use the cheap Chinese BS.
  4. Mimaki CG-130 SRIII Plotter Plotter Cutting Problem

Could be one of the small timing belts jumping. I had this once with a CG 130. The belt was likely installed with a too high tension.
  5. Summa D140 Cuts not closing

The old Summas show such a behaviour when they get old. (10-15 years) There is a small round piece of "rubbery foam" inside the solenoid, that stops the upward movement of the tool. Over time, this piece of foam gets compressed and there is a delay, when the tool starts the movement downwards...
  6. Transferring FineCut from one computer to another?

I just keep a ISO image of a FC disk and mount it, when I need to install a FC. BTW, "upgrades" in the download section are full versions .
  7. Transferring FineCut from one computer to another?

For Finecut, the disk is the key. As long, as you have the disk, you can even update to the latest version.
  8. Ink cartridge reseat issue

What is the the internal date of the printer? (Time and date setting may be wrong) Is the firmware outdated? (Available online)
  9. hp315 squeaky squeaky

This is highly likely the the supply or takeup mechanism.Give it a little grease.
  10. Roland vp540 repair

VP's only have 4 heads... Problem is, that the mainboards of these printers fail and are no longer available from Roland. If it's not a VPi, then you won't have IPC and this is likely to give banding, except all heads print perfectly.
  11. Need Help Roland VG2's Banding Issues

This is really strange. Do you use Versaworks to print? Have you done a nozzlecheck immediately after it prints with banding?
  12. Summa DC4 Carriage

    I found it... 2x 420-024 wheel segmented 2x 420-025 wheel full 4x ND50200-9995 4x ND50000-9008
  13. Summa DC4 Carriage

Hi, you either need to replace cassette roller(s). That's relatively easy and shouldn't cost too much. But it's likely those driven rubbery wheels in the carriage, that turn brittle and eventually even crack.(I can't find the number in the SM and my mail archive was deleted, when we needed to...

  15. Basic mechanics of the HP Latex 800

Cutting sheets is not working with HP800. Well, cutting works, but the following print will at least smear in the curing unit, if it doesn't produce a head crash...
  16. Question does "preparing for long term storage" really work?

I'm not sure, flushing out the pigments is enough. For the tubing and dampers it works. With some heads, there is a storage solution inside, that needs to be flushed at installation. (Roland and Mimaki for example and I haven't seen such storage or maybe testing solution advertised) II was never...
  17. VG540 print head 2 stopped printing

If the cleaning pumps have never been replaced, they are highly likely over their 200000 cycles...
  18. Summa S160 Registration Marks Illustrator PC

To use OPOS CAM, the recognition of the marks is done on the PC by a software called "camera control" on the old S-Class cutters. On the actual S2 cutters, you'd need to run cutter control for mark recognition. You could install Winplot for cutting and use the Gosign Tools (Plugins) to create...
  19. Blade drops momentarily before cutting actual design

Sounds like blade initialisation, to me. This is done, for the cutter to have the blade in a defined direction. It's normally done, when you load media. Looks like flexi sends a init command with every job. Not sure for flexi, but most cutting software lets you customize this.
  20. Need Help Problem to load media hp latex 365

Check the OMAS function and the media sensor in the back.
