  1. Double Faced White Coro Signs

Opaque is great and many times a bit smoother to print on. Our local suppliers sell 1,000 precut 18" x 24" to 1 opaque of the same size. So they rarely have any. Like everyone, storage space and inventory costs concern them. They say there is little call for those blanks. When you...
  2. Need wholsale screen print items

Hmmm....most of those bags are printed high-speed litho, not screen.
  3. How to strip emulsion?

For starters, please tell us what type of emulsion you are using. As to bleach. For the old diazo type emulsions lots of old-timers (they were frugal) did use bleach but not the household kind. They purchased industrial strength stuff which starts out abut 12%. Think liquid pool bleach from...

  6. name that clipart

Let's rephrase. What format can you NOT use? I have quite a bit of construction equipment art but most of it is in Corel Draw.
  7. The best "guy holding a sign on the side of the road" idea ?

I like the sign twirlers myself. Some are very gifted.
  8. Anti-Graffiti Lamination

The better (and cheaper) solution is that the cabinet have anti-graffiti paint applied where they were first manufactured and originally painted or post-applied by the political subdivision's work crew. Then all the graphic guy has to do is apply anti-graffiti lam to their print. The...
  9. Wholesale Flatbed Needed

Summa DC4sx (24" printer) will do that. Resin type - just like the Gerber.
  10. Screen printing problem

I'll take some issue with not using a heat press to dry, especially for short runs. Quite some time ago there was an article in one of the print mags...maybe Sign of the Times or Printwear. In it they did a profile on a shirt shop. The outfit had 13 heat presses used for drying plastisol...
  11. Business & double taxation issues.

I am no accountant but I can tell you how my banker would handle the income/loan thing and that is with double-entry bookkeeping. One side of the ledger has the loan as an asset (you have the cash in-hand) and the other side of the ledger has it as a liability (a debt to be paid). They wash...
  12. Trick for printing on magnetic???

Another alternative is to purchase your mag w/o vinyl. Print your vinyl as usual and use a laminator to apply it to the mag roll stock. The best way to print and cut mag is on a flatbed.
  13. Business & double taxation issues.

I have been around for a few years and I do try to keep up but I have never heard what you say is the law. So, I need to ask, what level would that be at? State or Federal? Any statute numbers you could cite to make a search less weary?
  14. PDF / Corel help please

That happens from time to time in PDF. Colors can get duller. The only important thing is how it prints. Also, if your monitor is calibrated to your output device I will bet I see it quite differently on my monitor than you do yours. If you re-import the PDF into CD, do the colors revert...
  15. Help on a layout

Unfortunately, it doesn't portray the HS product. Now, if those guys were to use a specific name for their shutter product life would be simpler. There you could make two logos. One for the parent co. and one for the product, itself. Envision if you can - a menacing cloud blowing toward...
  16. It happened again

Errrr...not to be picky but "copywrite" [sic] is that authors do when writing ads. Copyright (as in the 'right' to own and use) is what the correct term is. If you are tired of being taken advantage of then some signage at your front counter covering the same will help as does boiler...
  17. Screen printing problem

If you are printing white on a dark color and assuming you already have a seriously opaque ink and still not getting good coverage, you can 'cheat' slightly by adding a small amount of the same brand's puff ink (or puff additive) and mix throughly so you don't have to make 4 squeegee...
  18. marking flags

Like these? http://www.blackburnflag.com/store/index.php First Google hit.
  19. Screen printing problem

Plastisol will not cure until PROPERLY heated. That is great. You could leave plastisol in the screen for days or even weeks, pull it a few times with a squeegee and you can start reprinting. Can't do that with other screen-print inks. The can or the literature should have the cure...
