xp boxes on Craigslist go between $75-125.
I bought a Dell GX280 3.2ghz, 2gb Ram, 80gb HDD for $50 a couple months ago.
They come with a licensed copy of OEM XP
Hey Kemble... where do your orders come from? ebay? amazon? your own cart?
how do yo like SW?
Way back in my past life I was actually a certified Zebra service tech! (600's 105's, Stripes)... before these little ones!
Endicia postage labels cost about 1¢ each... less if you buy in bulk. I just paid $7.87 for 700 labels (free shipping) One trip to the post office is 17 miles, about $2.85 in gas, plus the time and inevitable hassles.
I got the ZP500 (and get free UPS 4x6 labels) AND... yesteday I caught a...
I like John too but if he can't do it try Patrick Carlson at Hot Spot Graphics.
He is a good character cartoonist that we have used a few times.

I ended up getting the close-by (5 minutes) Zebra ZP450... for $25
Prints UPS labels direct from Quickbooks and USPS labels using ShipRush.
Still looking for a goos solution to print the postage, either with the ZP450 on the 4x6 labels of using a separate printer (like a Dymo)
Anone have a preference between a ZP450 thermal label printer and an LP2844 Label Printer?
This is to print 4x6 UPS & USPS shipping labels.
They are about the same price (used locally $40-$45). The ZP450 is close by, but the LP2844 is a bit of a drive.
If they are the same price...
they do not care about quality enough to pay extra to get it.
They are paying $3 a square for the prints and $75-100 each for the installs.
If I were them I would put an ad on craigslist for two contract installers. Tell them it is for a permanent hire (with insurance benefits etc...)...
i sew banners with a juki... and weld steel with a snall lincoln wire feed mig. I would like a leister welder to fabricate a polypro washout booth. If I ver sell a banner that is big enough to need welding panels togethert then I will just job it to Mike!
johnson plastics will cut sublimation metal into whatever shape you want.... and round the corners too. doesn't come black though...
you will have to reverse the design and sublimate the black and bleeding could be trouble. Lasered anodized aluminum would be better for the black
aaack... I didn't see that you posted that already Pat! I gotta start reading the responses now & then!
Advances Artist has a couple great Bezier tools... the trick is to learn the quickie keyboard shorcuts that combine with mouseclicks & mouse dragging to lay down the node types and lines...
With Corel you can use your bezier tool to draw the outline in a minute or two, then use power clip to place the bitmap inside the curve. Kinda a poor man's layer mask!?
Liberty sells these type of kits in the US...

If you really want to start doing these you will want to but standard stretcher bars and save 50%. These systems are easy, and convenient.... but more expensive.
It is always the guys with little peckers that claim size doesn't matter....
The #1 thing is processor power, then RAM, then HDD space.
I use a kitchen analogy when describing how these three things interact to deliver power.
The CPU/Processor is your stove burner. More BTU's means...
