  1. HELP!! Roland RF-640 Print Head

That looks like deformed nozzles from head strikes to me. As MikePatterson said, it could be dragging on the swollen sponge but if not, probably new head.
  2. Mutoh Hard Parts?

I can get you Mutoh parts. the lever is $15 and would drop ship from Muoth directly. Shoot me a picture of the second part you're looking for and I'll see what I can find. Thanks!
  3. Need Help Real issues with jv33. Lost yellows at first and now lost all colors

Check fuse F13 on the main board for continuity. While flushing the head it's possible that you got solution on the electronics, or the circuit shorted out in another way such as a damaged cables etc. If that fuse pops, it prevents the head signal from reaching the head. It's possible the head...
  4. CJV30-160 One magenta channel drops out.

It's a common issue with the CJV30 model after a while the cap slider tends to wear out and it doesn't make proper contact with the cap anymore so the right most channel drops out. Check out this cap and slider we have available. It should fix the issue.
  5. Thoughts on wall printers?

Looks like a hell of a lot of work to build the gantry and get the thing setup. Could probably print and stick a wall vinyl project quicker and higher quality. The promotional video shows a lot of vertical banding.
  6. Need Help how to stop Start Ink Charge – > E

Power the machine on while holding the Up, Right, and Down buttons at the same time. The machine will boot in service mode. Once it boots, scroll down through the menu until you find, "Check 8: Parameter" and hit enter. Then scroll down to, "Parameter2 : Update' and hit enter. Then scroll down...
  7. Mutoh 1614 Head Assembly Vibration while printing - E074 CR Current Error

I do have one in stock for overnight if needed. Thanks!
  8. Skateboard Heat Transfer Material

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure those skateboard guys are all using dye sub. Get one of those Epson Eco Tank printers from JohnsonPlastics.com that they put dye sub ink in. That would be the perfect size for your application. As far as UV and latex goes, you can only really make a sticker, or...
  9. Mutoh 1614 Head Assembly Vibration while printing - E074 CR Current Error

Carriage would be the last thing I do just because it's very expensive and the least likely to be causing the issue in my opinion. Encoder or motor is much more likely although I have seen in one rare case that is was a main board. . The Cursor Roller Arms are the only bearings you can get...
  10. Toner base printing for outdoor

You should be able to get a nice detailed print from most modern solvent printers. Did you try printing at the highest resolution, uni-directional, and slow motor speed? All of those things will improve detail.
  11. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

It's always hard to tell. I'd say about 6' per channel. For each color (2 lines each) you will need 10 o-rings.
  12. Roland SP-540V - contour-cutting off

Anytime I have print/cut issues on an SP series, I run the encoder setup and calibration in service mode, and then the environmental match in user mode. That syncs the linear encoder and motor encoder so that the print/cut alignment can be done properly.
  13. Blurry prints Roland SP-540V

Looks like your bias and/or vertical alignment might be out of whack. Also, how does the nozzle check look?
  14. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

It's fine although I prefer to just leave it capped without solution. It only takes one fluke siphon overnight and ink all over the floor to make you regret it. I would just leave it as you normally would when not using it. These machines can sit for a days and weeks on the cap and still be...
  15. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

Here's a link to the ink line and o-rings on our site. What you want to do is use a syringe to empty the line first. You will need to open the valve in the back of the cartridge. If you're by yourself, just push the valve and tape it open and pull with the syringe from the damper (make sure the...
  16. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

I agree. I much prefer the bottle with sub tank and float sensor much better over cartridge. It allows you to use all the ink!
  17. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

The way the system works is each cartridge has a chip that identifies the color but also keeps track of the ink level by subtracting the estimated ink usage as the machine is used. Once that hits 0, the chip reads as empty even if it estimated incorrectly and there is still ink present. Usually...
  18. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

This seems to be a problem as these models age out. I've worked on a few older JV33 and CJV30s that simply needed new ink lines. We tried everything and it just wouldn't stay consistent. As soon as we changed out the lines (and o-rings at every connection), everything worked perfect. It's a...
  19. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

I'd suggest just getting some chips to put on the cartridge to finish them up. Cartridges are filled with ink and then all the air is sucked out. If you introduce air into the cartridge, it can cause pressure issue which usually ends up in ink just falling out of the head.
  20. Ink not staying in print head

The carriage should be level already. You just want to check the gap between the head surface and the platen. Usually if anything is off it's the left side being higher than the right. In that case you just need to take the head bracket off and wiggle the head around until it drops into place...
