I web the machine pull the lam around the top roll set the rollers to zero, then depress the feed pedal, check to see if it is feeding straight, ( look for wrinkles) adjust feed presure accordingly I run the laminator with as little pull...

    this is why I do not use the cheap stuff, I use the 6000 series with air release and I have never had an issue, I how ever had problems with Oracal but it was the opposite, it was sticking to hard if you were wraping a job and it touched the surface it was all over you couldn't snap it back off...

    you will never get a true red out of a cmyk machine it will always be on the orange side, since I switched to triangle ink I get better reds, but not true reds at least with the rolands this is true... //chopper

    on these race cars you would be lucky to get them to last the whole season so I wouldn't worry about 3-4 years, also I have printed graphics that have been out for over 5 years and still look as good as when they were applied, so you might be off on your 3-4 year figure.. //chopper

    seems the problem is not the laminate but the laminator, I have run both types of laminate through my machine and there is no flipping belts and such....but I would recommend arlon laminate. //chopper

    as stated a picture would be nice, but it sounds like some misfiring print heads, or plugged nozzles when they get plugged they will fire off to the side instead of straight down, might want to soak the heads clean the wipers etc. and give it another try.. //chopper

    I find this to be an interesting subject,... I don't come here very often any more for several reasons, one is the opposite, of what you are stating, I think things are not as honest as they should be, to sugar coated if you will, the second is I spend 12 to 16 hrs a day running my business...
