Okay everyone, so I'm still fairly new to CNC world and I'm looking for some knowledge you all may have. My parents are redoing their bathroom, so I'm making them a new vanity and closet out of Maple Plywood. I have everything designed and ready to go but I'm just curious what kind of settings...
We did a similar job a little over 2 years ago using LX480mC, the job went smooth and would highly recommend using the material. Heat and the TA-4roller are going to be the best method to install as it will make it go much smoother and quicker.
Hello everyone,
Our local YMCA is in the process of a huge expansion and we are working with them on the interior signage. They are going to have a donor wall which they gave us a design and want it to be dimensional to help it give it more of the wow factor. I was wondering if anyone had sone...
They didn't give me a budget (it is a large corporation), the size is roughly 2' tall by 12' wide, and the artwork would just be their logo. Which would be about 90 percent coverage of the panel in a dark blue with their company logo reverse weeded.
Had a potential customer call in wanting to replace the panels on their existing illuminated sign cabinet. They currently are flex faces but talked about going to polycarbonate panels. They have talked to two other companies and one told them to go back to flex face and the other told them to...
Does anyone have any tips or tricks for applying etched vinyl? It seems like we spend 3x the amount of time peeling the backing paper off as we do lining it up and actually applying it. We have had a decent amount of luck with wetting the application tape once applied to help removing it but...
We did a large wall similar to this at a local university and used 3M's TSA-4 Two-Handed Textured Surface Applicator. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it in walls like this.
I will agree with Coloradosigns on the 3m IJ480. It's great stuff and installs even easier with the right tools. Here is a wall that we did about six months ago at a local college
Alright guys, I want to know what cleaning solutions or techniques you guys have found works best for prepping vehicle windows to help get rid of the film/rain-x that always seems to be on them. We wipe them down with alcohol like the rest of the vehicle but it just seems like no matter how many...
We have always had good luck with 3M and they have an adhesion test kit that can help you choose the correct vinyl for the specific application. For the most part we have had good luck with 40c on smoother textured walls and then for more textured walls we have ad success with IJ180mC or...
An adhesive test is definitely the best way to determine the proper vinyl but for smooth walls we normally stick with IJ40c with just the standard 3m laminate that they recommend but for more textured walls such as (cinder block/ brick) we have found that 480mC worked best for us!
Hello everyone,
We were contacted yesterday about bidding a monument sign in our area that is very detail oriented. Our normal vendors have no problem creating a sign with the shape but aren't able to build something with all the fancy moulding pieces. Could anyone point in the direction of a...
