You can use a laser or rotary engraver or a cnc router to engrave Rowmark, IPI, Gravoply or similar materials.
They all make material for engraving the front or the back depending on the application.

Yes, we do it alot for interior signs. We use a film adhesive and it works fine. No special prep to the acrylic or laminate. Never had one delaminate yet. We have used contact cement in the past with good results as well. The film adhesive is a lot cleaner and faster though.

Chemetal has 0.025" brushed aluminum sheet that you can laminate to a substrate. Not sure if they have 60" wide though.
