The new sp is in a redesigned chassis, looks a lot like the VP 540 to me which cuts dead on in my shop.

For 114 bucks a month more over a 5 year period you could have a new unit that is completely redesigned from the ground up with many improvements, I say go new & don't look back, 5 years from now he used unit will be 9.

I would be careful about buying a 48" printer for that kind of money, If you buy a 54" inch machine, you have he 4 foot banner with a full bleed covered, why spend the money for something that is "close"? I also know there is a lot of 54" media available because that size is a very popular size...
