The majority of the Canva files I receive are not even the correct dimensions because they just open up any template they like and start designing thinking it will fit any shape they require, or they've added a cut line that the rip can't recognize, etc.

Maybe just don't edit that file unless you switch to manual width or have the material in and ready to print? If you switch material widths and don't edit that specific file, it will keep the same layout. RL is not the most user friendly, it has a lot of glitches! :rolleyes:

Change the page size from Automatic to Manual, just remember to change it back when you load the media because you may print off the page, or use much less of the page if it's wider than the value you entered.

Anyone recognize this font?

I switched to Mimaki about 3 years ago, but I do remember there is a Print/Cut alignment you can do, have you tried that? Also if the cut is off only on 1 side or in the center, I found allowing the media to cool and then cut with little to no heat helped to solve this issue.

Thanks for the info, I assumed they needed to be printed directly on to the canvas, but I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone had any experience with this.

Anyone know if there is a vinyl or any material that would work on a boxing ring canvas? I just assume these are all printed directly on the canvas before installation, but I have a client asking if this is possible on vinyl.

Create a gradient in illustrator using 1 color only, C, M, Y, or K. save that as a seperate file. Bring it into RL. Select that file, go to the INFO tab. Change Job Attributes to "MONO COLOR" Select your source color and change it to White. Hit okay and create your layers. You can do the same...

Got it. I've only had the VP-540v, XC-540, and VS-640, so I've never had the opportunity to experience anything above VW5. Would any of the newer features available even benefit an older machine?
