  1. HP Latex 360 problems

You could create a CMYK-only print mode that does not use the lc/lm ink channels as a test, but I am not sure that is the direction that I would go. I would run a nozzle test print or the drop detection and see what PH1 is delivering and reporting with respect to nozzle performance. Dropping an...
  2. HP Latex 360 problems

The 98:03 error is almost certainly related to the lc channel, which is reporting no nozzles jetting in the drop detect. Your options are to clean (manual/ auto) that PH, or to simply replace it. The coalesence could be related nozzle peformance with the OP head, but this would affect all...
  3. Color Calibration

    1) The Color Calibration should be run when loading a new roll which has a different white point than the previous roll, or when prompted by the printer. The CLC is intended to bring the printer into a repeatable baseline state for the loaded media. 2) Use of the on-board measurement instrument...
  4. All icc profiles have color shifted

To use the on-board spectro for ICC profile creation requires a minimmum media width of 36 inches. If you dont have an external spectro, get a short 36-inch wide by 5-yard roll to create the ICC and then use the 30-inch wide media for production jobs.
  5. Line Sensor Replacement on HP 115 Service Manual

If this is occurring across multiple media classes (self-adhesive vinyl, banner, etc), I would agree that the media encoder disc/ sensor would be the next place to inspect for dust and clean as needed. If the radial encoder checks out as OK, as a test, you could also remove the OMAS system from...
  6. All icc profiles have color shifted

As has been mentioned, you can attempt to delete the old Color Calibration reference data (reset to default): with the media loaded and defined, from the front panel top menu: Settings Icon > Image Quality Maintenance > Color Calibration > Reset to Factory. After that, run the Color Calibration...
  7. Mutoh Status Monitor Cost Estimation Issues

White ink is more difficult to jet than color inks, due to the colorant used to make white (titanium dioxide TiO2). Printers that have white ink available will need to service the nozzles/ channels that deliver white. This is done by regular automated cleaning cycles both while printing and...
  8. Mutoh Status Monitor Cost Estimation Issues

Assuming that the printer is configured with white and varnish inks, the printer must continually keep those ink channels serviced. This consumes ink, whether the ink is jetted to the substrate, or ends up in the waste bottle.
  9. platen cleaning on hp315

On the 310/315 printer (as well as the 330/ 335) the platens are not removable - simply verify that the platen holes are not clogged with fibers, and punch them open with a paperclip if they are.
  10. Hp700 + "wasted lead"

Are they & you using the Pinch Down (default) or Pinch Up (aka manual) load option?
  11. 3M 2080 - do I remove cover film before transfer paper applied for graphics?

The cover film is present on all gloss colors, but not matte or patterns.
  12. 3M 2080 - do I remove cover film before transfer paper applied for graphics?

The cover film (only present on gloss versions of 3M 2080) is removed after the installation to the vehicle/ substrate.
  13. Help on color alignment with VG-640

You can't blame Epson for this - they don't make the printheads or inks used in the Roland VG.
  14. HP Latex 800W EWS issue

The current release of the Firefox browser (99.0.1) is compatible with current firmware. As mentioned, all current browsers will be supported in the next firmware release.
  15. Help me Decide an Upgrade: Roland VF2-640 or Epson 80600 Printer only?

Are you interested in their Resin printer?
  16. Need Help 5 layer sandwich mode printing

Point taken. Regardless of the color, it is not something that would be desirable.
  17. Need Help 5 layer sandwich mode printing

You can (and almost always would) have different images with 5-layer opaque printing. If they are not the same size, the blockout black layer from the larger side would be visible when viewed from the smaller side. Not a desirable visual.
  18. What’s up guys- card stock on a Roland SG2

Many paper card stocks run beautifully on the Latex 700/ 800 as well.
  19. What’s up guys- card stock on a Roland SG2

Eco Solvent ink requires PVC-based substrates, or solvent coated non-PVC based media. Most paper-based medias (including offset coated, aqueous coated, and uncoated bond, such as card stock) is neither of these.
