You don't need to program the board as such, you just set the DIP switches for the correct model, then do the normal calibrations to dial it in and change the network settings in VW. It is easier to take the settings from the old board, but not vital.

Also check the cutting strip. If it is grooved at all then replace it. It could also be wear to the cut carriage which can happen with age. I have used and tested carriages in stock if you need one

Yes, that is how doing design work works. If someone can come up with their own vector print ready artwork, they are most likely already in the industry so don't need to order from random printing websites
