  1. What is the causes the browning?

Maybe it has the same effect as the "eye black" stuff athletes wipe under their eyes because it reduces the glare from the sun. Could be the reason for the white border around all the black letters.
  2. Templates and sofware to panelize

The Bad Wrap is pretty accurate. I would suggest always doing your own measuring and photos at some point before production to account for anomalies and deep recesses you can't see in a template. For paneling I just do it manually using photoshop or illustrator. We try to do seamless wraps...
  3. Green masking tape

You're speaking my language! Thanks for the info.
  4. Green masking tape

Yeah I have a few of them kicking around too. I checked their website and it looks like what I had in mind. Ever use their masking tape by any chance?
  5. Green masking tape

Thank you for that story about you.
  6. Green masking tape

    No worries. Better than nothing.
  7. Green masking tape

That doesn't really answer my question. Of course I know I can get the stuff at Canadian Tire, Lowes, Home Depot, the corner store etc but my question says I am looking for a supplier that sells it by the box for less than $3+ tax per roll.
  8. Green masking tape

Thanks! Good price but they want $70 to ship to canada....
  9. Green masking tape

I guess I should specify that it needs to be an online supplier or one local to me. Sudbury, Ontario Canada.
  10. Green masking tape

Wondering if anyone can suggest a supplier with the best price on boxes of the green painter's tape rolls. We go through tons of the stuff because we use it basically for everything. It has to be a medium tack that doesn't leave residue behind. We don't use it for its main purpose so it doesn't...
  11. Transparent wall vinyl

Does anyone know who makes a transparent printable vinyl that's specifically for painted walls? I found one by Oracal. 631 Exhibition Cal but I can't find a supplier. Has anyone used this or can you suggest another product? I've used white, Oracal 3651 with Permanent adhesive before on walls...
  12. Window perf...... to laminate or not?

What brand of Perf do you use that lasts 7 years?
  13. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate...
  14. YouTube Problems

The key is to burn IE with fire and never look back.
  15. Clear vinyl with no adhesive

Intelicoat (Magic InkJet) makes a clear, solvent, eco-sol or UV printable film. It's called SCF-7.
  16. Window perf...... to laminate or not?

This. And even when it's not raining the holes will accumulate dust and dirt and that will kill the view-thru as well. The laminate also makes the ink saturation last longer and UV protects it. I suggest using a laminate that has roughly the same lifespan as your perf though. Using a 4yr lam...
  17. Possible issue with new backing material on Avery Translucent cut vinyl

That's kind of what I ended up doing. Just left cut line at the end but not the length. It's the only work-around I can see. Overall though I don't like the new backing material. It's harder to work with because it's so thin and flimsy now. Not terrible. Just a bit of a p.i.t.a. It's so slippery...
  18. Possible issue with new backing material on Avery Translucent cut vinyl

I use Flexi. I have it set to cut in order but like I said in my original post - if the background is a solid color you can't just cut in sections. At some point the cutter has to cut the outside edge. There is a test feed setting but I just do it manually as I stated before as well. I'll have...
  19. Possible issue with new backing material on Avery Translucent cut vinyl

The cutter is set at 10cm/second for most jobs. Gives me a better chance to pause if something goes wrong. Like I said though...I've never had this problem before and I cut a lot of jobs between 10-20ft long. Might need to change things up now though...
  20. Possible issue with new backing material on Avery Translucent cut vinyl

Has anyone had the chance to use Avery's translucent cut vinyl since they changed the backing material? It's now a thinner, clear material. I'm asking because we've used it twice now on long backlit cuts (One 168" the other 112") and in both cases I did the usual alignment of the material to...
