It's not the cheapest vinyl, but Phototex EXS is some great stuff - its removable and restickable too - like a "Fathead." What I really like about it is the texture - it feels almost like a fabric with some texture. I print with latex and love it - nice score with the artist - sounds cool.
Got a question for the group - customer wants a latex printed decal mounted to ACM for a table top (ACM mounted onto plywood) then wants to cover this in 2 part epoxy resin (like the river tables, etc). Total pour will only be about 1/8" thick. Has anyone ever tried this and does media hold...
Looking to purchase a new DTF system for classroom setting. I've ordered hundreds of DTF's from online vendors and love using them and customers love it as well. Anyhow, since I'm in a school system, we rely on using Purchase Orders and companies must be on the approved vendor list.
So far, I...
I love the SUBSTANCE media - but have not had any success with running the chrome media through a cutter - SUMMA just won't read registration marks - any tips? BTW, I run a 365 and am making football helmet decals, etc with the media.
mark - I work for a high school and we are required to use Purchase Orders for purchasing. Futhermore, before we can order, we have to have a Vendor Agreement form on file with the vendor. I can send you the form, but need your email address. If you'd prefer to contact me, mine is...
Today I went in to the Advanced Settings on Substrates did the following:
Increased Cure Temp to 230 degrees (originally was 216)
Increased Optimizer Level to 20 (originally was 12)
Increased Interpass Delay to 15 (originally was zero)
Left the settings alone for Vacuum at 25, Air Flow at 175...
Follow up on my situation: This morning, I installed new printheads across the board, including the OP. As soon as I was done loading, the printer did its alignment etc. I still had the Briteline Rollup media in and the results were horrendous to say the least. First two images below are on...
Good evening all. Having a time printing on Briteline Roll Up retractable banner material. Text is coming out very splotchy/rough looking. Images attached. I have done a color calibration, printhead alignment and printhead cleaning. I have a job to produce 32 of these retractable banners...
I don't use a Mimaki, but have printed several dozen rolls of Perf on my HP Latex. However, I was always under the impression that this stuff had to be cut by hand - the holes in the perf would cause issues with cutter movements. I've never tried, but thinking I should....hmmm....
Get MuscleMag Latex from Magnum Magnetics. HP Latex prints right on it, and I just use a razor to cut them out. Have yet to figure a way to run through the plotter/cutter. Good luck!
We do a lot of chrome for football helmet decals - need a thick mil vinyl and even thicker overlam - Substance Media has been our go to.... https://substance.com/products/ultracurve-x1-chrome Hardest part is getting cut settings correct as the shine/glare is something else! This stuff rocks!
Had that same problem and more issues with 22....reverted back to Flexi 19 where everything worked fine...and staying there until I am forced to update.
