About 50%/50% Mainly from schools and sports teams for windscreen fencing. Been having a time printing on it though - been causing head strikes. In 2022, we did a 5' high by 240' long mesh job. Unfortunately, I'd like to have the black back mesh, but it's only available i 126" widths and...
  2. Mesh Banner Causing Head Strikes

Well, another try and another crash. Used the 15 vacuum and 241 temp at 6 passes. GRIMCO Tech support tells me my platen is dirty and has clogged vacuum holes. I told them "nice try" but the HP Tech person was just at this machine two weeks ago and we cleaned everything - ports, holes, etc.

Ok, thanks - I'll give that a shot and see what happens. Are you using the fabric print "pads" too?

  5. Mesh Banner Causing Head Strikes

Yes, I am using the Grimco profile. I've ran over 1000 feet the past several months - this just recently started. The last time it did, HP sent a service tech to replace some damaged parts; cleaned/vacuumed the ports, etc. The first time it happened I thought it may be from roll being older...
  6. Mesh Banner Causing Head Strikes

Using a HP Latex 365 and Duratex Mesh banner with liner. Just recently, whenever I use this media, my print head ends up going under the media/liner and causes a hard head strike. At first I thought it was old media but opened a new roll today and after about 18 feet - BAM! Shut the machine...

I use Orafol Orabond 1397PP from GRIMCO - this stuff is top notch!!
  8. HP Latex 365 color consistency

I had the exact same issue with my 365 Latex last summer - the grays were printing pink - on all substrates where I could choose one of the lesser "print passes" choices. In other words, on vinyl media preset, I could go with the standard 10 pass choice or what seemed to me, a more economical 6...
  9. Question Summa D series: Cutting magnet sheets?

Great question Rayd8 - I have been wanting to know the "how-to" myself. The only thing I have been TOLD is that I have to use a "sandblasting" blade to do this and can't have overly complex cut paths. I have not tried it, rather just tell clients I can cut rectangles, squares, and other...

  11. Wide Format Media - Please Help Identify

I have a HP Latex 365 printer and today was given a large lot of paper from an abandoned business. The media does not have any labels, etc so I cannot tell what it is, etc. The business was a beer distributor - they made their own posters, banners, etc. in house and I guess posted at stores...
  12. Question What type of Media to use?

Hello all - newbie here, teaching a graphics creation and production class in high school. We use a HP Latex 365 printer and an HP 64 cutter. We also use the SaiFlexi 19 RIP software. Principal has tasked us to create student and faculty parking decals for next year. He mentioned using...
