Good to know! I have yet to make a Fellers account as it doesn't make much sense for me to purchase from them considering I am based in Canada. How much does a roll of the 3M dual blockout 3635-222 go for? Wish they had a Fellers up here in Canada I tell yuh!
I mainly use 3M IJ67 perforated film on exterior windows. Most of the time I laminate with 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate. It is a calendered film with a cast overlaminate combo that I have had nothing but success with over the years. The 3M materials are not always cheap compared to the various...
What is your go to combo for frosted film that needs application tape due to logo cut outs or other designs?
I commonly use:
3M 7725 dusted crystal with 3M SCPS2 prespacing tape
OR
Mactac 9700 Frosted with 3M SCPS prespacing tape
Removal of application tape always seems to be a small battle. I...
I have a Milwaukee battery heat gun (cordless) in my install bag. I love it! Its great for exterior graphic installations where a bit of heat is needed and no outlets are available. However when it comes to wrapping a vehicle it wont last you very long and going with a corded option would be...
I recently replaced all the heads on my HP Latex 115. I noticed banding when printing grey's. All heads had 5,000-10,000+ mls ink used. I had not replaced the heads since new (3 years) and the force drop detection was not showing any heads were badly clogged up. I noticed a big difference as...
4Over has recently closed their Canadian facility. Who are you using for trade print supply in Canada? I know Sinalite is a current option. Any other suppliers that you can recommend?
Anyone have experience printing this brand of perforated films with HP Latex? I often use 3M IJ 67 with success, but in an effort to save a few dollars I wanted to try a roll of Contra Vision - Campaign PErforated Window White Semi - Permanent 70/30 (for all inks). I like that it is 70/30 which...
I have owned my Hp Print and Cut Solution for almost 2 years now and have had this issue occur every once in a while. I always try to make sure my firmware is up to date. I have my pc, printer and cutter all connected via ethernet right to my router with their own independent cables. An IT...
When I purchased my 115 Print & Cut Solution I was offered a demo take up reel for $500 from Grimco and didn't take it at the time. I wish I did because when I called back it was over $1000 for a new one.
I have had success with Avery 2611 in the past as a lower tack temp wall film. In my experience temporary wall films can be tricky due to factors like the type of paint used and texture of the wall. Nothing worse then a failing wall graphic. I use 3M 40C with 8510 over-laminate for the majority...
3M SCPS-2 High Tack Prespace works well for digitally printed and laminated cut lettering. SCPS-55 allows for a neater post production as it does not curl up on the edges of the exposed liner as much as the SCPS-2 in my experience. Both are great!
I run Flexi 12 with my HP Print and Cut Solution. I have had a few hiccups in the past where a print would stop mid project and Felxi also shuts down after some prints and I have to re launch PM for the next job. I constantly try to ensure the firmware on the printer is up to date and any...
Sounds like there is an issue with the Briteline media/lam combo. Briteline is not a quality product so that would be my first change. Cold lam does the trick for me every time. Never experienced this type of issue. If the same results are happening after print and lam with a...
Perhaps the rig has been repainted in the past. A vinyl decal could have been left on the truck and used as a stencil and then removed after the new coat of blue was applied leaving the existing colour showing within the #2...
My machines (printer, cutter, laminator) were delivered in an enclosed trailer and strapped down strategically. They were also disassembled to a certain degree. If I ever have to move them I would do the same.
Wondering which etch glass film prints well on HP Latex machines. Preferably 54 inch...Anyone have any suggestions?
I’ve generally used the wet application technique when working with etched glass films, but the dry bubble free film from Mactac sounds appealing!
