signmeup... it doesnt come out the right shape... slightlychilled...i ment the drop shadow in the background jhill...i put a circle in there and hit it with the brush tool with a large spread its pretty close... is that was you ment also? also thanks for the quick replies!

looking at the shadow part only... how do i achive this in photoshop?

buy new...you will thank yourself... like the other have said... resale... peace of mind, support, warrenty... all well worth it...espcially when you divide it up over the course of 5 years... not much difference in price

Part way threw printing 320 Logos for a job due saturday... I ran out of material... called up my supplier and ordered more... it gets here 10 minutes ago (ups) and its Color Print Premium by Siser, instead of Evolution like the other half of my job is already done in... I dont think its going...

heath when i try that i am unable to change the transparency settings because the buttons are ghosted out...

heath, i have not tried what you said in post #6 yet because at the time i got my file to work... now im onto a different job and having similar problems... i made the cut contour and it works by itself but as soon as i bring the artwork in with it, it will only print no cut...

thank you everyone for your replys... i did flatten the image which killed the transparency and used heaths effect>sketch>Stamp process to create the outline... it did work...still wish i could use the transparent background and cut for when I am using multiple logos in one file...

Malkin-yes there is a transparency...on the photoshop file...which i imported to Ai as an .EPS

i have had no problems cutting before... and the cut contour swatch is working because if i put just the cut outline on a file by itself it will show it in the menu that there is a cut file... but as soon as i lay it over top of the image and save the whole file together it only shows print...

thank you for your quick replys... i have tried so many things im not sure why that did not work originally... the problem now that the backgroud is not showing...is that i need to add the cutcontour swatch to the outline of the object... but the object has a box around every layer...what is my...

i have tried that and it tells me "could not read the file because the plug-in could not understand the file"

I am having issues getting my PS work into AI without a white background... in PS i have the background seperated from the image but when in place it in AI it has the white box around the image again...i have tried several things but to no success...

i dont have one in my sign area (natural gas monitor heater) but in the other part of the building my dad uses one... its a large area uses about 1 bag per day they dont produce hardly any dust... only when loading and cleaning them...we use a shop vac after it cools and it cuts down on the dust...
