Having done web design work, if you're relying on IE-only workarounds, you aren't doing it right to begin with.
I've always tried to code to the standards first. If I need something fancy, most of it can be done with some simple CSS. The issue that I run into going that path is that IE has...
Heh. I'm not the one posting ratios of butyl cellosolve, butyl carbitol, and acetone... I've just had a lot of experience with testing inks and finding out (often the hard way) what chemicals are not compatible. So that was one of my tricks to check for compatibility BEFORE I introduced the...
Most profiles have heavy ink limiting applied for non-porous substrates, to prevent over-inking. Textile is the opposite -- it soaks up ink, so you need to increase coverage.
If you can't get a profile to use off Fisher's site, try setting your overall ink limit to the maximum if you can; if...
In regards to your comment on dampers and suction, the damper acts as a seal on the end of the siphon to prevent backflow into the cartridge. However, the O-ring and nut must seat properly or else you will get an air leak that breaks the siphon. Since you already got new O-rings with your kit...
Sometimes you can also have a clogged damper screen that causes suction issues like what you described. It's generally a good idea to change out the dampers whenever you have an issue like this.
And for anyone worried about screwing up their machines with a mixed (or non-OEM) flush solution, the first test I always run is a drop dispersion test. Fill a shotglass (or other suitable small container) with the flush in question and drip a single drop of ink into it. Let it sit for 1 hour or...
For a very small sign shop, a printer/cutter combo can save floor space. However, once you start running a lot of production a combo unit will hold you back since you can't cut while you print -- it is one or the other.
If you start off with a combo unit, though, you can always add a standalone...
Is this your opinion or experience? I've heard of a lot of satisfied Graphtec users, and aside from the occasional hardware glitch haven't really seen much go wrong with the FC7000 and FC8000 models.
It is. I used to work for them, but it's still a good resource. Most of those tech bulletins listed were written based on experience running those printers and from customer feedback.

At my shop we bought a large batch of VA1912wb widescreen Viewsonic LCDs sometime in the last four years, and over half of them have died since. I've seen a lot of other Viewsonic LCD screens that had display problems (ghosting, blurry images) show up within 3 years.
ViewSonic was good back in...
It's a computational error -- like getting a blue screen (STOP error) on Windows. Restart the printer; if the error does not appear again, you're OK. If the error appears every time you run the machine, you have a bad mainboard.
What version of Wasatch are you currently using? If it's the old vesion 4.x or 5.x, I would suggest upgrading instead of switching. Newer versions of Wasatch have much better performance and a MUCH improved user interface. (I still haven't found another RIP that is as easy to use out of the box...
It's made by Creation in China. From prior experience, I would suggest avoiding if you want a cutter that will be supported beyond 1-2 years. USB driver quality from them was historically poor.
Which HP do you have? We have an LX850 with the latest ink and noticed the same issue with heavy coverage on polyester fabrics. Can't handle them in finishing or else you get light bands where the fabric is folded...
