Given that I could find no results anywhere, plus the fact that the two "s" letters don't match each other, I'd say there is a chance that it's not a font.

Never mind, got it. Text menu > "Show Non-Printing Characters" was checked on.

I suddenly have this icon appearing to the right of any character I type in CorelDraw (X7). What is it and how do I get rid of it?

For the time it would take to find a similar font, I would just vectorize it. Having said that, you could try Hobby Horse NF, or Merijntje Bold.
