So this isn't really sign related, nor is it related to my job. I opened up Illustrator at home and some reason I'm getting dots in spaces and the pound/hash symbol at the end. Not sure why or how that's there. Wondering if anyone else has seen this and know how I can turn it off?? It goes away...

The K looks close to Brush Script, though isn't as rough looking. Okay...took a little tweaking, but pretty close right?? Obviously I'll change the colors for the final.

Okay I looked up Univers since I do not have that on my computer, I'll have to find a way to download it. Kaufmann I was able to download however the K is still different.

Trying to identify these two fonts. The second one I thought was plain medium Helvetica but it doesn't seem to match up very well.

What would be the recommendation for prints, like indoor/outdoor calendared?

That's absolutely true. We've had quite a few returning customers based on they came to us first when they needed something done ASAP and we followed through. Granted we just have one printer and one laminater, so we adjust our production priorities when those kind of orders come in.

Oh I know that's not difficult, was just saying that was a request we got. Hah. Overall we mostly get good people, and lots of returning customers. We have maybe a handful of PITA customers.

That's weird. Should have done it. Did you convert the text to outline? That could be the issue. Convert to outline, apply the warp, then your gradient and expand appearance.

Are you using Illustrator? I came across issues as well applying effects, but then I found going to menu Object>Expand Appearance would implement the warp so the effects stay with the warp.

Now we did get someone yesterday, actually they weren't difficult but they had ordered a sign from a competitor but the sign wasn't getting to them in time for their promotion so they called us up for a same day sign which we were able to deliver.

We're really happy with our Avery vinyl for vehicle graphics and wraps, but would like to check out recommendations for decals and printed graphics for indoor/outdoor use.

Oh yeah I definitely think our area has something to do with it. We sometimes get unrealistic requests. For example someone called to get LED channel letters same day. Haha!

Curious, what people's input on Oracal vinyl? I personally haven't used it much, maybe a little years ago at another shop I worked at. My current boss doesn't have experience with it and was wondering about switching to save costs. Would love to get some feedback on it. Thanks!

I was in the restaurant industry for a long time as well, and I could tell that within my first greet at a table if they were gonna be just that kind of table.

It could also be our area, it's not often but we've gotten people that think they know better. We had a guy come in and want replicated decals from a 1970s Volkswagen which we obviously did not have artwork for. Or people that send us a picture of an existing sign, ask us what size that is and...

Ever have those difficult customers that tell you how to do your job or act like they know how to do your job better than you? Or have someone that says "You have creative freedom," you design something then they decide they want all these changes that does not look good with the design you made...
