Get a deposit for your work. This guy is accustomed to pushing people around. If he has never had to pay a sign company before for this service why isn't he using them? Maybe because he didn't pay for his other signs?!
Why is your work less valuable then his?
Just my 2 cents.

I can't thank all of you enough! Really, really good suggestions and knowledge has been shared. We submitted the bid yesterday and are waiting for their response. We'll see. I'll let you know what they say either way.

Just a thought,
If you are not allowed to remove the signs are you within the limits of the law to ADD signs over the window graphics? Use the cheapest stuff you can find, no laminate etc. The message could be advertise something along the lines of social responsability. Aides prevention...
NOOOOOO!!! I was too vague. Sorry. What I meant is if anyone out there has had to re-do someone else's lousy wrap or photgaphed someone else's failing wrap I would be eternally gratefull if you would share the pic.
Hope that helps. DOH.
I see your points! :-) I want to be able to exhibit to my customer what crap vinyl and no laminate can do for their image, as oppossed to a quality product.
Sorry about that!
Greetings All!
Do any of you out there have any pictures of wraps that have failed (bad prep or lousy material) or faded badly? I want to put it in my arsenal if needed for this project. We are still in the running. yay!
Thanks if you are willing to share!

We charge 50% at ordering with the balance due upon completetion, without exception. That has been our protocal for the last 7 years and I'll tell you it has saved our bacon on more than one occassion. We used to have a wall of "unclaimed" signs. There is very little I hate more than chasing...
I did check with our local "wholesaler" and he wanted $50,000 to print and laminate the project. That's what prompted this post, it seemed really high and we hadn't factored in any installation fee's or the MASSIVE clean up needed on these trailers. Even if we tell the customer to bring them...
Greetings everyone!
We have an opportunity to wrap 12 semi-trailers. We naturally are in a bidding war with another company. How would you bid this project? What would you charge? We figure we'll use around 2.5 rolls of control tac and laminate on each trailer along with a full round of...
Greetings all,
We are having a disagreement concerning laminating. How many of you in Florida, Texas, Arizona or other sunbelt state, laminate everything that you print? What would be the exception? AND...would you laminate a project of printed material that is going to be used inside and...
We have made several modifications to ours and it is now somewhat tolerable. Yes it totally requires two people but it is what we have and it will laminate what we need to laminate.
Bon Chance!
We put it on ourselves and it was frustrating because you cannot just "get it on" it has to be perfectly straight. Once you get it in place it has to dry from the soapy water. We will probably just let them do it next time if nothing more than we can use it immediately.
