i was just in the same situation so i got a fc7000-75 which is 30". if you plan on moving up just crunch and gte the 30, call them they will probably give you a good deal on that too
if you have the Creative suite 3 it comes with illustrator photo shop indesign go live and a barrage of others. Or were you implying that you have PhotoShop CS3 only, that you got bootleg off the net?
perfect, get to know Illustrator if you are getting into signs since its a vector based design program, photoshop is just that working with photos and raster graphics. the two programs are similar in tools as well so not to hard to learn
you can save it in several formats!? Im assuming your new. but the plottre has to have vector lines to tell the knife where to go. I use illustrator, do you have the whole CS2 suite?
besides the baud rate that has nothing todo with what your cutter is doing. mine cutter did the same thing becasue i had the wrong creation drivers running. also make sure you are cutting the vinyl from the start of the ruler instead of the end.

i think i have semi settled on the graphtec fc7k becasue of the accuracy and i hope customer support.... gunna price it out esp from advantage sign supply in richmond.. anyone have any experiance?

Sorry im not in Canada, im in northern Virginia. Is there any place on the web that compares the pros and cons. i suppose it would be nice to get an optical eye now for when i get into d.printing... but what else do i need to look at as far as the pro cutters go?
