  1. Anyone going to ISA in Orlando in April?

KInda what I'm thinking. We are mostly going for our annual corporate convention, the trade show is a side event anyway. So I'll be curious to see how weak it is this year.
  2. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

The plane will not fly. It will fall off the end of the belt. No one said the plane's engines were even on. And correct, the wheels are irrelevant.
  3. Need Help Printing several copies of the same image

I haven't used Onyx in a few years, hopefully an Onyx user will chime in for you. I just assume it will stack them accordingly to fit the media, with whatever gap between them that you specify. That's what Production Manager does. Maybe it has some "conserve media" setting or something? I can't...
  4. HP problem or material... IDK

Using 3M and Clearfocus...this was on Clearfocus. I do oversize on all vehicle perfs, but try to do exact size on storefront stuff, even 1/8" undersize in many cases.
  5. HP problem or material... IDK

You might be on to something. Just checked and the profile for perf has it ON. I will turn it off and run another perf job to see what happens. Seems to me that could throw a wrench in things on perf. Great suggestion.
  6. Need Help Printing several copies of the same image

Just tell your RIP you want 5 copies. This is basic basic printing....unless I am misunderstanding the question.
  7. HP problem or material... IDK

But if this is the case, it is shrinking the film AND the paper liner together? Because after pulling it off the printer, the vinyl isn't shrunk to where there's 1/2" of blank paper on each end, or 1" on one end. This does not compute. It has to have something to do with feed rate, but that is...
  8. HP problem or material... IDK

So I just ran a big job of window perf on our 560. Of course it's one of those "hurry and get it laminated-gotta install in an hour (thanks salesperson)" jobs. Installers call me later to let me know the prints are an inch too short in height. I checked my files, checked the RIP. Nope, all good...
  9. Anyone going to ISA in Orlando in April?

    Literally exactly what I said...
  10. Anyone going to ISA in Orlando in April?

Anyone going that is starting to get a little concerned about travel/lodging/and the Expo itself with this Coronavirus thing going on? There is usually a very strong Chinese manufacturer presence there. I wonder how many companies have backed out. And how many people have decided not to attend...
  11. Suggestions Looking for a certain vector

I doubt you would find any files like this in vector format. If you want vector shapes, why not just create them?
  12. Flexisign 19 Nesting Jobs Question

What Banner said. Do all your nesting/grouping of jobs in Flexi. Sometimes, I will copy and paste a few cut jobs in to a file I can later delete, when I know I have to cut many small jobs in the same color. Just arrange them to fit your vinyl width and you're good.
  13. Not sure it a Flexi issue but...

Printers generally run the same speed where there is no image. Would only speed up any if there was a big gap between prints.
  14. Opinion Laminating cut Vinyl lettering?

No laminate is going to make 651 last longer. If it shrinks, it shrinks, and will take the laminate with it. Dumbest thing I've heard yet today, laminating cut vinyl.
  15. Need Help Color change

I'm willing to bet you have this backwards. The right is correct, and the left is what you are viewing with profiling 'off' in Flexi. Try viewing the file and toggle Soft Proof on and off. You'll figure out real quick what's happening. Besides, the right looks 100% better anyway.
  16. Frank Fellers, the Owner of Fellers Has started his own wrap shop doing wraps for $1,000

Makes zero difference to me. We don't do color change wraps (or really too many printed wraps) so more power to him. And to the suckers that buy them.
  17. What vinyl are you printing your stickers onto, and why?

Correct. We do not make stickers. Stickers come in Cracker Jack boxes and kids activity books.
  18. Need Help How to delete part of a raster image in illustrator after creating clipping mask?

You're wanting to do what Photoshop does, In Illustrator. Not gonna happen. It can be done WITHIN Illustrator, where the image can be edited in Photoshop then replaced automatically (same process as what someone mentioned about Corel/PhotoPaint).
  19. My Summa really bugs me...

Have a Summa S2 160 T series. Don't get me wrong, it's a great plotter, most of the time. But having one issue that annoys me to no end, and sometimes screws up the job at hand. So let's say I have something I'm cutting that's 48" long. When I send the job, it will begin cutting. Somewhere...
  20. Need Help Pixelation occurs when printer starts

Hard to tell since you show a small sample of the whole print. It looks like this is a very low pass....like 4 or 6 pass? Whenever there is very small text, I run a 12 or even 16 pass. I've never seen anything get pixelated on only the beginning of or only a portion of a whole print. It's either...
