have the JV4160 always used Epson inks in it it has been sitting in the shop for a few month now the L rubber part is inside the pump its about 3/8H x 3/16W x 1/8D -

look in the pump to see if that L is not broken we used to have that small rubber part custom made for us Cant find any at the moment this place has a pump for 60$ http://www.robearle.com/parts/index.php I do have a machine JV4 for sale -

there is a little L shape rubber in the pump that gets dry over time causes the pump to do bizarre thing -
