  4. Oh Boy! Do I need a new Head?

WHOOOO HOOOO!!! So I had checked the dampers earlier and everything looked fine, so I ended up flushing the pump to that set of heads. I didn't see any obvious blockages come out in my bag but what I did notice was that the waste tube was very constricted. I ran a new tube and fired her up...
  5. Check Out My New Lights!!!

Thanks. The lights are rated 5500 Kelvin which is direct daylight but realistically I think they are closer to 5000k. Either way our shop lights are at 6000k So I can turn the printer ones off and color match if needed.

I know there are a bunch of threads on this upgrade but I thought I would share mine. I bought the LED strip lighting (SMD 300 3528) , transformer and clip leads on Amazon from LED Wholesalers for $32 shipped. I did consider the 5050 lights as well as the SMD 600 but I am glad I didn't...

3rd party Bordeaux Ink.. It's been running through the machine for more than a year with Zero problems.. Until now maybe.. Visually the dampeners look fine. No bulging or sucked flat... Blockage maybe? I think I am going to order two dampeners and an S cap and start there. What other...

Hey all.. I went out in the shop this evening to run a few prints and two feet in to the print I see this huge black ink blob.. I let it print another 8 inches and saw another one! ****! Cancelled everything and ran the heads over for a look.. Here is what I found.. It's leaking pretty good...

  17. OPOSx Question

I Finally sort of figured it out. I called Phil at Summa and he was VERY helpful. After a few failed attempts I spoke with a tech and he walked me through setting up winplot. After a successful test cut I am off and running!! Thanks SUMMA guys! (another reason to buy a summa) Turns out our...
  18. OPOSx Question

Frank, Thanks for your input.. I'm getting the value by measuring the distance between actual registration marks on the print. I know this is the wrong way ;( Bly, I was kind of half thinking that I might need to resort to Winplot. I guess it's only one more piece of software I need to...
  19. OPOSx Question

Frank.. To be honest I think you are right. The Summa is set up as a contour cutter properly in Wasatch. Wasatch successfully creates the marks but when I send the file to the Summa it does not prompt me to set the knife on the first mark. It just starts cutting from wherever the origin...
  20. OPOSx Question

To all those interested I found out that the problem was that I was calculating the OPOS mark interval in CM not MM so after adjusting the parameters to 300mm instead of 30mm it read the marks perfectly. Next question is that once it's done reading the marks it sets to what I think is an...
