  1. Vehicle Emblem Tape

On a couple of box truck wraps we've encountered some small square reflectors on the doors. My search here turned up lots of advice on removing them but I'm wondering what tape you use for reapplying a reflector or emblem after the wrap is installed? I saw 3M 4941 foam tape in the Fellers...
  2. Lamination....HELP!!!!

We have had the same problem (at times) with our RSC-1650H. I've narrowed it down to feeding/loading error. Just for trial, we rolled our media (3M IJ35C - print side out) and loaded it onto the backing paper roll (we don't have the front feed assembly add-on). The angle is a bit tight but we...
  3. Hexis HX20000 Sample

Today I received my Hexis HX2000 solid wrapping cast sample (silver). I was anxious to see how it installed so I took it out to the parking lot and installed a piece on the fender of a black Chrysler 300M. From what I can tell it is easy to work with and finishes nicely. The adhesive is not...

  5. Font ID Please

I stretched Impact and got it close enough to work (this is a project/practice install) for my boss' son's truck. Below are my rough results. Thanks. Allen
  6. Font ID Please

Thanks Shovel. I tried Impact (I only have one variance) and mine looks more condensed. To me it looks like Impact that is stretched and possible the corners rounded. Am I on the right path or is there a "non-condensed" variance of Impact that I'm not aware of?
  7. Font ID Please

    Here we go....thanks.
  8. Font ID Please

Oops, forgot the attachments. Give me a minute. Sorry.
  9. Font ID Please

I have searched my fonts and tried WhattheFont but don't think I've found a match. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Allen
  10. Wow....how in the world?

Sparky - I thought about a smaller printer but there are so many other mistakes too. This company (van owner) is a local branch of a national company so I did think that maybe they (installer) got a pre-printed wrap and had to work with what they were given. However, almost every wrap in town...
  11. Wow....how in the world?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that part.
  12. Wow....how in the world?

Was at Lowes today and saw a local vending service's wrapped mini-van in the parking lot. I had seen it around town but never up close. I am new to vehicle wrapping and have only complete a handful of wraps, but I try my best to learn proper wrap techniques. I guess I don't understand why...
  13. PDF from Photoshop

Thanks for the replies. Good points beermonster. I know Photoshop is not the best program, or intended, for brochure layout but sometimes you stick with what you are used to or get to editing images for the brochure and never leave. I come from a video editing background where I used...
  14. Question for 3M IJ35, IJ35C users

Okay, maybe I'm loosing my mind (more than I thought). Maybe it was just boxed and not bagged. I know that I've never had a problem with any mangled edges or handling marks. Allen
  15. Question for 3M IJ35, IJ35C users

I just opened a new roll (probably our 3rd) of IJ35C-10 and the roll was in a box and bagged just as my rolls of IJ180C. I specifically remember removing the clear bag before loading it on the printer. Our roll came from Grimco (Nashville) as part of the 3M year end blowout sale. Allen
  16. PDF from Photoshop

I am designing an 8.5"x11", trifold brochure in Photoshop CS4 and would like to email a PDF proof to my client. I have tried many different settings on the Photoshop PDF output and have even tried to reduce the size of that file in Acrobat but seems like everything I try leaves me with a file...
  17. May Wonders Never Cease...

Their "World's Cheapest Banner" is $8.99 per sq/ft!! I think maybe they should research before claiming to be the cheapest. If $8.99 was the cheapest banners in the world, it would be much easier to turn a nice profit! Oh, and their $8.99 sq/ft price includes "FREE stitching and grommets"...
  18. 1 is the loneliest number . . .

Congrats Replicator, I just went over 100 so I've got some catching up to do. If my math is correct, and you joined in Nov of '06, that's roughly 8.66 posts per day (10,000 posts over 1155 days, give or take a few days). Wow. Allen
  19. Color Chart (finding older post)

Good point Nancy. I just print the Pantone Corel PDF on a couple of our standard medias (i.e. banner & psa vinyl) for reference, much as jhill said. More often than not, when dealing with a customer that has some banner or a printed "logo" but has no digital artwork (or it was designed in MS...
  20. Color Chart (finding older post)

Jhill - That is the one I was looking for. Thanks so much. Rfulford - I can use that one as well. Thanks for sharing. Allen
