  1. Banding problem

Local rep/tech is suggesting a flaw in the media (Arlon - matte cal), so I pulled about 4' through the front of the printer, and didn't see any apparent lines, but given that it's matte, it's tough to be sure.
  2. Banding problem

Yes, thanks for the help. The only other thing I can think of is that the lines in the print appeared every time the power went out, and then came on again. (Just kidding) ;)
  3. Banding problem

Have used this ink for some time, not recent.
  4. Banding problem

I thought of that; I had the heater at 44, and turned it down to 40, no difference. There's one possible correlation that I observed when printing, so (anyone) tell me if this makes sense: When I intermittently spooled off some material from the 54" roll of vinyl during printing, that moment...
  5. Banding problem

Yes, 3rd party ink. Rite-Media ProColour, from All Graphic Supplies.
  6. Banding problem

Thanks Vander and Derby. The dampers were replaced not too long ago, but perhaps they could still be the culprit? The machine is 8 years old (but gently used), so could those little tubes plug up?
  7. Cartoony mystery

As usual, I've had no luck with WFI, WTF or FMF.
  8. Banding problem

So what would cause an ink starvation if all of the cartridges have plenty of ink? And why wouldn't that starvation continue, rather than being a brief band?
  9. Banding problem

Yes. The lines are along the path of the print head.
  10. Banding problem

*I posted this in the Roland section yesterday, but no reply, so trying here. Roland SP-540i Whenever I print a solid color background, I get these lighter colored bands about every 17", but the distance varies. Printing at Standard Quality in RVW. I've even tried converting the colored area...
  11. Pink banding on Roland SP-540i

Whenever I print a solid color background, I get these pinkish bands about every 17". Printing at Standard Quality in RVW. I've even tried converting the colored area to a bitmap (in CorelDraw), but that doesn't fix it. All test-prints are good. Any solutions?
  12. Rough Script

    Thanks Tiki!!!
  13. Rough Script

Apparently one of those new rough script fonts, but I've had no luck with WFI, WTF or FMF.
  14. Need new desktop (office) printer

Yes, I see that Canon is now offering that sort of thing too; "Mega Tank".
  15. Need new desktop (office) printer

For my desktop printer (invoices etc and the occasional photo) I have a Canon iP4300 8.5” x 11” printer, and it’s been working fine for over 10 years! Sadly, it looks like it’s starting to fail, so I need a similar replacement. Because I have very limited desk space, one of the most important...
  16. I got nothin'

    Yes, I don't suspect that the "i" or "l" won't help much.
  17. I got nothin'

Got no results with FMF, WFI or WTF. I thought perhaps someone else might have some insight on this one.
  18. Need to make a new site - advice?

^^^ Yes, but should one have to go through all that frustration to begin with? I recall the SS staff to be exceedingly polite, but that's only one component of good service.
  19. Need to make a new site - advice?

I tries SS a few years ago and absolutely hated it. For my hobby website I went with Weebly which was much easier to use. Apparently, SquareSpace, Weebly and Wix (et al) are terrible for SEO. shrug This person wasn't happy either: I'll Never Use Squarespace Again
  20. Need to make a new site - advice?

Yes, I too stopped at CS6, so I take it Muse requires a subscription?
