That's what i usually do too, or i import into photoshop & save at 300dpi. Then I use that PSD file in Flexi directly.

i work with a gx-500. takes some time to make sure there's no vinyl skew if you're cutting printed graphics otherwise you'll see the skew in any borders. other than that, i'm a fan

I second Sketchup. If you're not too familiar with it, its easy to learn. Took me maybe an hour at max to figure everything out smoothly

If I want to use the standard aluminum french cleat, double sided tape would most likely fail over the years, and there's no bonding agent between aluminum & acrylic i presume

bringing this thread back to life what did you end up doing to adhere the cleat to the back of the acrylic sign panel? I have a 96"w X 34"h acrylic panel wall mounted and the customer doesn't want to see any standoffs. Did you end up drilling halfway, then use some glue for extra strength?
