with my l260,when the machine tells me to change the head, i'll just switch the heads in the machine and then run one or two cleanings. 50% of the times everythings fine. If not, then i'll replace one or both heads depending what the print test tells me.

me too. I know i can get a new printhead for the next day, or perhaps at the same day if it breaks at the morning, but sometimes that may be too late :)

I have had 4 different summa cutters in last 14 years, and have had only one breakdown.. x or y axis overflow (i don't remember which) but i ordered new motor and we changed it ourselves the next day and it has been working since..

I have 6 months old l260 and have had several C-LC failures, but after i started printing color stripes for every print, everything seems to be better. Or at least i think so. No more banding and better colors also. :loveya:

+1 .. i use rollsroller for laminating

I use 3M scps-100 for everything, it's also med tack but it sticks to backing paper much better than r-tape.

how about transparent films like oracal 8300?.. after applying, it looks like crap with all those scratches. Is heatgun the solution? (sorry for borrowing this thread)

keencut cutters are like rollsroller.. after trying one, it's quite hard to think about getting along without it :).. about one year after buying evolution, i bought steeltrak. Dilite and other composite materials can easily be cut with knife and ruler but after using steeltrak for a while, 2600...

i have l260 + summa s2 140t, and i found that aslan dpf 09 vinyl works best for me. i can print 4000x1300mm and contour cutting is still very accurate. No need for any straightness optimization.

i don't use onyx, but flexcut is the thing you are looking for. I use it in wasatch softrip & s2 140t

I use easyprint sir and normal easyprint with hp latex all the time. Works great.

I use 3M SCPC100 and it works great.. now i have l26500 but before with roland vp540 the ink transferring off happened because the ink wasnt dry at the same day. I use 1-2 rolls/month (chemica easyprint) with avery and 3M transfer tapes.
