    I'm stumped
  2. Ink date code

They also sent me this in a Word doc:
  3. Ink date code

Ok, so after talking with a Roland rep, here's how to read your EcoSol Max cartridges for manufacture date. (For some odd reason they don't put a "1" in front of the year, and all the other numbers to the right of the day are internal to Roland and meaningless to us end users). So this...
  4. Ink date code

    ^^^ Good to know.
  5. Ink date code

I was told by Roland that they have a 2 year shelf life.
  6. Ink date code

Does nobody know the answer to this?
  7. Ink date code

^^^ I think we posted at the same time - see my second post above.
  8. Ink date code

Actually, I think this is the label which indicates the manufacture date. Anyone know how to properly read them?
  9. Ink date code

How does one decipher the manufacture date code on Roland ink cartridges?
  10. Ink Warning changed?

So did you completely drain the line(s) and accidentally introduce air into them?
  11. Ink Warning changed?

Yikes! This is what I was worried about. Yet, I just now got an email from Steven Tu at Roland saying that "the printer will still prompt you when the ink runs out." Hmmmm
  12. Ink Warning changed?

Did your files do the exact same thing, with the blue & yellow ghosting?
  13. Ink Warning changed?

The file has since been deleted as the customer changed their mind on the wording, but I wonder if the issue is in the fact that I had applied an RGB black to the lettering as opposed to CMYK?
  14. Ink Warning changed?

Yes, I turned it off in VW a week or two ago, I just wanted to be darn sure that the printer will indeed stop and ask for a new cartridge, as it did before. I'd hate to run the lines dry! The reason I ask is that today I had a really odd blue & yellow ghosting thing happen on a black-only...
  15. Ink Warning changed?

The latest update to VersaWorks has a pop-up window appearing when the ink level is getting low, and I was getting that message for a little while recently with the black cartridge being low, but does the printer itself still stop and give the final “replace cartridge” message as before, or does...
  16. Laying down 210 Lam

It was reports like this that made me nervous: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67088&highlight=Arlon But, perhaps that is old news and they solved issues. Flame?
  17. Laying down 210 Lam

Thanks. Yup, I'm aware of that one. There's three factors which have prevented me from buying a laminator: 1) All of the horror stories I've read, as you outlined above. 2) I'm not a high-production shop (one man show). 3) I don't comfortably have the space for a laminator.
  18. Laying down 210 Lam

Another update: I feel that this should have occurred to me at the outset, but I have discovered that the 210 lam goes down just fine (with the BS method described at the start) when applied to matte vinyl, but is impossible when applied onto gloss vinyl. It is obviously the shiny side of...
  19. Print & Lam - mixing brands?

So after having issues with the really thin backing paper on the Oracal 210 Lam (using the Big Squeegee), I was about to order a 54" roll of Arlon 4560GTX and its matching lam (which I tried a sample of and it worked great)......but I see now that there have been some very real issues with the...
