  1. T-Shirt - Heat Press - Which one should I get?

Id probably suggest spending a bit extra and getting an auto open one at least. Especially for sublimation it’s great to just press it down then wander off without having to worry
  2. Rasterlink 6 noob

yes I ripped the files. It gives all the usual ink consumption etc but just doesn’t show an estimated print time. (As per solventinkjet’s photo) Even on rasterlink 5 I could look at the job queue and it would tell me how long a job has been running and how long it should run for. very odd
  3. Rasterlink 6 noob

On version 5.16 now and still no print time? Any thoughts?
  4. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

Do they have anything concrete about putting the 460 inks in the 1640? Our canon rep doesn’t know anything about it lol
  5. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

as you’ve put this in the 1640 thread I’m assuming you were getting the price point based on a 1640; is there any reason you’d go for that instead of the 1650? Especially for wallpaper. unless they’re dropping the price on the physical machines in order to get them out the door. I’d guess they...
  6. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

Always gotta keep an eye out for those pesky service contracts at canon though
  7. Rasterlink 6 noob

I have the actual quality tab, just appear to be missing anything that could give me an insight into how long prints will actually take. Will update on Tuesday after I update RL6
  8. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

that would be exactly my biggest worry. A lot of false promises for the 1640 users. They basically promised the world then released the 1650 and have basically said they won’t fix any 1640 issues until they’ve sorted all the 1650 issues. Even recently, they tried to charge us a fortune for...
  9. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

Surely the print side in is just a firmware update. I seen that in action and there’s nothing physically different with the drawer (if there is it’s minimal). Last I checked though they’re still having pretty big problems with registration with the double sided prints too.
  10. Rasterlink 6 noob

I haven’t got that. Had a big run today so when I get a bit time I’ll see if there’s any updates. Thanks for your help!
  11. Rasterlink 6 noob

I can’t even see that in the quality tab! Maybe I’m on the bare bones RL6 because I managed to get the free upgrade from 5. I’ll have a hunt around and see if there’s any updates that I’ve missed that include those parts!
  12. Rasterlink 6 noob

Hi, hoping this is a simple one that I’m just missing. Still relatively new to RL6 but I can’t seem to find an estimated job run time/approximate end time? Where do I find this? They had it in RL5 so assuming it’s here somewhere!
  13. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

Always found this weird with cutters. Surely there should just be a way to set them all exactly the same. So if I take one out, the new one I put in is the exact same but a bit sharper
  14. Question CJV150 head from Digiprint

    He pay he play
  15. Mimaki print cut or print only

I run a CJV30-130 print and cut for years and it was great. Still going strong. the only reason we had to upgrade was not having a separate cutter gave us a huge bottleneck frequently. as others have said, the built in cutters don’t tend to be as quick and as accurate but they’re very helpful...
  16. Printing in sheets

Not sure how you make these up but I’ve done something similar before. I’m still relatively new to onyx so I done it in indesign. basically set up my small sheet size in indesign (in your case 12” by 14”). Used the data merge feature (you’ll need a spreadsheet set up) then set one up. (I.e drop...
  17. 36"x36" laminated decals -large runs-

That’s what, two rolls worth? I’d probably keep that in house if you can. Keeps your printer going unless you’re already crazy busy.
  18. Epson GS3 Inks PRICE HIKE (for S40600, S60600, S80600)

Naturally you’re always going to want everything as cheap as you can to increase your profits but in the grand scheme of things, if you’re noticing such a small increase in ink price on your bottom line, you need to put your prices up. I hope there’s a reason for the ink increase (good old...
  19. loading prints in to cutter backwards

Sounds like a software issue. In onyx it generates barcodes for either side so it knows what side is in. Is that the case there? Has anything updated/changed recently? Maybe needs an update? Might be a PITA but it doesn’t need a take up, I’m gonna assume it has a take up for the excess paper...
  20. loading prints in to cutter backwards

Assuming you’re using onyx? That should be the case. But you’re going to have to tell us what software(s) you are using. aside from that, I’m going to assume you have a laminator. Just load the roll on that and get it to wind it up the other way while you figure out what’s wrong.
