Small world huh? I admin skatefluckit with Demzilla remember him?
Not many still around since then. Clayfighter, Stevland, Pawnluvguitarist, Monkeysuncle, TNO and only a handful of other names you might have known.
Even though I have participated in these threads over and over on countless forums they are fun.
I own a PS3 and for xmas every year I get 3 or 4 titles I always go back to the Skate series. I still skateboard in real life at 38 and I have always wanted a game to exist like that. I have never...
Hill Street Blues
Bloodhound Gang (it was a short in the 3-2-1 contact show on PBS)
Speaking of PBS Bob Ross The Joy of Painting
St. Elsewhere
Crime Story
No Reservations is great & Twin Peaks have both been mentioned
Yes, I can't guarantee this is what happened to you but....
In the production manager if you want to delete a job in your list and somehow you accidentally highlight your plotter or printer it erases it. I don't think it even asks you first so it is ez to do. Or I think even if you have only one...
EXACTLY, Most commonly typical parking sign 12"x18" blanks
The radius does not appear to be adjustable. I use the template that is on the bottom row of optional choices (maybe wrong?) After seeing your reply I thought maybe I missed something because I don't even try anymore and that was 3 years...
thought of a couple more over lunch
Wild at Heart http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100935/
Back when Nicolas Cage was still cool
The Hidden http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093185/
If you can get past the 80's soundtrack you will be missing the whole point of the movie. Alien taking over bodies...
I use 8.6 as well
My biggest problem is importing/exporting PDF's with any transparencies. They make them a solid color. I always have to import them in Photoshop and make a huge jpg or tif. Exporting is the same issue
My other gripe (might be user error) the rounded corner border radius is...
My taste is a little out there as well:
Millers Crossing http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100150/
My all time favorite movie. It makes a lot of top 100 list, but whenever I bring it up 80% haven't seen it.
Bronson http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1172570/
Actually the movie could be better. But it...
The customer knows its not the best way to do it. If you express your concern about what material he picks and make sure he knows you are not responsible then I see no problem whichever material he uses. Document your conversations and your gold. As far as mark up, anyone who had responded to...
It will work better if the flutes go the correct way.
I agree with the banner material idea. Easier to ship easier to make. You could even use the mesh banner material. It is not too pricey and we do them for a oil changing company that hangs them in there bays. They hold up much better than the...
They were the first mass produced sign making friendly printer. I honestly didn't know they were still being produced? I never really cared for the quality. My first long term gig was with a Signs Now franchise and they really pushed them. I never saw the need to drop the money on it. We always...
We carry a basic banner material and we go through a lot of oracal 3164g both in full size and 36"-38" options. I usually have a basic "rapid air" type in stock as well. From now on we are getting the smaller rolls of material for wraps and charging accordingly. I do wraps but I don't want it to...
I would be up front with them next time. Charge a little more, raise the price by 15% or so to make you like doing it more. They are comfortable and obviously like your work and it doesn't sound like you care if you lose them. Tell them that this kind of job takes more time than you are...
The Firefold car:
does the back window not line up? hard to tell
I'm guessing you put the red and white lettering on after the fact? Matching around corners is the toughest part almost impossible. it always screams were the seem is unless you make it very complicated with no lines or fade to...
Ahhhhh so it's just labor?
Well.... A lot of time those out of town customers pay up front and seem easier to deal with because they handle stuff like this often. I'm in St. Louis so our weather is similar. You should have 2 or 3 days a week this winter for a install. You need a fair amount...
It really does seem like a template to a do it yourself website design thing. The pictures look to "obviously stock photo-ish" and what's the blog thing about?
I'm new here as well. I have come across this site multiple times over the years and never joined. I am really glad I finally joined...
It's pretty much impossible to answer that question or base your decision off of any answer you would get in my opinion.
Are you busy? What does YOUR market support? Which material are you using (there is a huge range price wise) what is your overhead? Etc etc
When I feel like it's not worth...
I also make mine from coro using Velcro works like a champ. My overlap is on the bottom.
For smaller signs we use 10mil PVC cut in 1"x5" strips
We mount the cut side to the bottom of the sign about 1/4" up for desired slant. You just can't get a cleaner look
any more info?
are you matching anything?
one color multiple colors?
If you google running horse clipart you get 1000's
If the artwork is simple you can vectorize it with streamline or most sign programs have this feature.
I have several that I have used for a game and the side of a dullie truck
